    G.E.A.R. HISTORY

    After driving at Race2play since 2008 for various teams, I've created my own team G.E.A.R. (Ghost Endurance Alliance Racing) on 26 january 2013. Now that Race2play has ended, I have kept the name and moved it over to Sim Racing Online because everybody knows the team from Race2play.

    We have been very succesfull with the team at Race2play and a lot of thanks go out to my fellow team-owner Felipe Anzolin who ranked up most of the wins. Other drivers who played a big part in it's succes where Fahn Thomas, Ricardo Azevedo, Pablo Finotti and Carl Middleton.

    The Honey Jars Series;
    The first Honey Jar Series with rFactor 2 F1 1979 went reasonably well. We had a good money pool. And the € 5,- contribution fee to sign up was no problem. We had a total prize pot of € 240,- to spend over the first 10 championshipstandings.
    Signups were pretty good in the first 4 races, after that it started dropping.
    Reasons; to many big startcrashes, implementing a rolling start, dropping out of the top 10 and who knows.
    So we ended up paying out 240 euros to a startinggrid of ca. 10 people. We had hoped for big fields up to the last race. Also because people spend money of their own.

    For the next Honey Jar Series Assetto Corsa Group C things wil go a bit different;

    1. It is all privately funded by me.
    2. Prizemoney will only be payed out if there are 15 drivers per race on average over the whole season. So I'm not paying out to a field of 6 or 7 drivers.
    3. We will have our first completely broadcasted and commentated series !! Very pleased with that.
    4. There will be weight penalties that will add up for the top 3 finishers after each race so the field stays competitive.
    5. And there will be no entry fee for this series.

    There will also be a broadcasted series in september with rFactor 2 F1 1975. A 90 minute series hosted by me.
    Members will be able to choose the tracks for that series, which starts in early September;

    Take care,
