Can I share the setup and video on my lap if someone wants? It would be great to get more drivers to fight for a win. :)

Not sure what you mean? Can you clarify?

Sorry my bad english :D I can give my car setup what i did to Snetterton and put the video from my fastest lap on youtube, if anyone could get help from them to go faster.

But I don't put them yet if nobody wants them.

I'm not sure a video provides any clues as I've watched hundreds of them and still not got any faster :D. The guys in them just seem to be doing what I do anyway, but go much quicker :)

By all means if you want to submit your setup then send me a link to DL it and I'll put in SRO resources for anybody who wants to try it. But even somebody else's setup is not a magic wand. Again I've tried lots in the past and some are just undriveable for me, so it's all about personal skills, eyesight, hardware used, reactions and lots more that make somebody seem to be an "Alien" compared to others.

Yeah it is true that just watching the video and getting the setup you won't get any faster, but if you practice and compare to yourself to faster guys, it will make you faster. And learning new tracks will be faster when you have learned one track well.

I send my setup tomorrow, or day after that. If it feels too oversteering, increase a wing or rear antirollbar.

Ps. I am not the world's best setup maker

My opinion in the matter: An "alien" is fast regardless of their setup. You just need to be able to see those "shortcuts" in the track to find the quickest way around the raceway by any means necessary, it could be about identifying the curbs to be run over, or it could be about ones gas/brake input for the car around the corner or when riding over that particular curb. Once you diagnosed the entry/exit points of the apexes/curbs and the quickest way around the track:

THEN comes the part for setting up the car, you just try and find the best compromise between a lot of settings. Perhaps you would like to stiffen that front ARB to, or perhaps your car is almost bottoming out and its not possible to use the "shortcut" which you have had found and you need to raise the front/back end of the car. Basically what i am trying to say is, a setup isn't a magic wand which makes us go faster, as Ken mentioned, but it is a tool for the driver himself to feel more comfortable with the car in order to enable himself to use such "shortcuts". That is the way the setups were intended to work.

I have tried using other peoples setups but it never worked to be honest, it had become worse in fact, but people still share their setups and there is always someone interested in that, so i am guessing it does help to some degree which i am clearly not aware of... ^^

    Thanks for sharing
Personally I have no real idea what i am doing in set ups - I spent the past so many years just driving around it with the only real exception of brake balance and wing settings - never touch the rest...
Would be great to see a youtube video of your lap, this track is new to me as maybe with others
    Thanks Henri and Ken
    M :)

Martin none of us is born with an inbuilt knowledge of making a car setup which feels right for you to drive. Try a Google search with something like "simracing car setup" and you'll find lots of guides, suggestions and information about how to go about it. Over time, practice and testing you will at least understand a few things to change on the car which will make it do what you want, even if it doesn't make you the fastest out there :)

This is new track to me too, but I'm pretty quick to learn new circuits.
Here is a video of my fastest time so far.

Something weird happened to me on Lap 1 which some of the more AC savvy guys might be able to explain?
Coming out of the T4 left hander, I got on the gas a bit too early/hard and it spit me off to the left onto the large grass area. I was beginning to think if I would reach the barrier and hit it, when BAM I was sat back in the pits with a "24 Second Penalty Controls Frozen" message. When I was released out again I was already nearly a lap down!!

Anybody know what this is about?

Maybe it's track mod issue. Try drive again for the same place and if it does it again the fault is in mod

Tried that Henri, both on & offline, drove around the grass everywhere and no problem.

Started the race in 4th place and before turn 4 I was in 6th place lacking the killer instinct to defend my place! But I was still alive on lap 1.
On lap 2 one guy spun and 2 cars crashed, and then I was in P3 because I was still alive and going. That put me right on the bumper of the second place driver James Bird.
That was the start of a race long battle for second place. 15 minutes before the end James made a small mistake and I went passed.
On the last lap I was 1,5 seconds in front of James and really thought I had second place. But then I looked at my dashbord at the wrong time and briefly went off the track. That was enough for James to take back second place.

All and all a very good race with James Bird. Very fast and a lot of fun.

Great race John!!! you pressured me all the way till i made that mistake, well chuffed with the result tho :). My car was a tiny bit loose but very fun to drive. Did u see what happened on the 2nd lap? My replay starts after a few laps, so i cant watch. Would like to know if i was at fault.
