    Good morning mates,

Just want to make a suggestion, if times of some series could be a little later, like 22:00 GMT or even 23:00 GMT, that could bring more American users to this community and it's a more suitable time for people (like me) with homework, babies or late workers... unfortunately i'll have to quit the F3 Euro championship that i'd love to do due to being too early...

    Cheers!

Hi Rui, We certainly are planning a number of series later in the evening on the weekends, although presently these are 9pm starts but hopefully will attract numbers in from all over.

For what its worth...During the week for me current times are just ok...i.e. At the moment we start the USF2000 series at 19:05 GMT which, due to DST, equates to 21:05 here in SA, likewise, the Sunday GP79 series starts at 20:20 GMT which equates to 22:20, when DST changes again I end up only being 1 hour in front of the GMT times which of course is a lot better. What I am saying is these times, for me, are good. Can't please & accommodate everyone I know...just saying:)

Edit: Just to add...I only race in rFactor2

Since I am there and I have been thinking about it for a long time I also say my..Good evening to all .. I live in Italy and therefore 2 h more than your events that I have always considered very interesting, I have participated in some but for away from this time I had to leave, here we at the portals use at least 22:00 hours, ie 20:00 GMT, mainly RF2, RF1, Automotive, PC2 and AssettoCorsa, but I see that for RF2 they are all with start of race 18 or 19GMT! If you propose something for us Italians, and not only, for the 20GMT I would be delighted to run with you. Thank you

Thank you for your feedback Paolo. Like most things in life, it is very difficult to satisfy all the people, all the time and one of the hardest parts of running an online sim-racing organisation is creating and then meeting members desires and preferences. We are currently a non-profit making, free membership operation which relies on it's Admin team to donate their personal time freely towards creating and managing the series it runs, which unsurprisingly takes a great amount of time and effort on their part to provide that.

It is very difficult to always have an Admin available to attend an event at different times of the day, to host and manage the races. This is why we are unable to always offer races at a convenient time for particular members or countries. What suits one country may not suit another etc. You can't win 'em all as the saying goes.

We are open to future developments which may allow SRO to develop it's offer to members, but of course that also has added implications for the cost of doing so with regard to server costs particularly. Of course if we decided to charge all members an annual fee to cover all these costs and time required, maybe we wouldn't have much of a membership. It's a Catch-22 as I'm sure you can understand.

We could do some test events. A lot of people could participate from Monday to Friday, I also advertise it ..
If you then decide to charge a lower annual fee than the good old R2P, I bet you would be happy to do so.

OK I'll take you up on your suggestion for a few test events as we have some available server slots at 20:00 GMT during weekdays M-F. Do you want rF2 or another sim? What mods/tracks would you like to see being used? Please choose only mods/tracks already in our DL section or default.
