Good luck all. Question. is their way to hide steering wheel/hands without moving the seat? Thanks guys.

Believe I found it. ESC./view settings/hide wheel option.

this should be pretty awesome, my first chance to race Bathurst in ACC, but its a tough unforgiving track and the downhill mountain section is plain nasty! If you crash in that area it takes an age to get a car turned back around the right way...so a friend told me

What’s the point of qualifying if someone causes a pile up on T1/lap 1 of a 90 minute race, when it’s such an obviously slow 90 degree corner I went from 12ti to 18th before getting 30 seconds into the race. Then I’m stuck behind a load of cars that I’m presumedly quicker than for the next 15-20mins because of that unnecessary incident.

I eventually worked my way upto where I qualified after half an hour and was enjoying closing the gap to the top 10 once again when my controls went bizarrely haywire. I lost 5th gear then power started dropping then my steering gave up with leds flashing on my fanatec. Had to pull up against a wall and retire really hope my wheel isn’t broken, but tested straight after and seemed fine. Did wonder if it was an ACC mechanical failure but not sure we even simulate that? Guess it was a random netcode bork. Not suffered that before in ACC. Gutted as was really enjoying the race.

 

Sorry to Mr Jones, that was a fun battle for 8th place for quite a while, but I just couldn't avoid you when you bounced off the wall...

Apologies also to Mr Grewcock, I thought you were sticking to the right to let me pass and then boom, my mistake I guess :-(

Firstly my apologies to Nigel ... I lost it under braking .
Secondly, no worries Max, simply a misunderstanding; I was going to let you pass when we got to the straight.

 

Guess not changing tires is faster . Was leading by 5 second and came out of the pits 10 seconds behind Kristow. I was on schedule to close the gap towards the end, but 2 backmarkers cost me 1,5 second each by making mistakes in front of me. Still it was quite a fun second half of the race, trying to push a bit to close the gap.

Grats Kristow, guess I actually need to think of a strategy next time, didn't expect the tires to last the whole race.

That was a really good race! I wasn’t sure if the tyre change was mandatory so decided to play it safe. Had some good battles early on, but being stuck in that, I just got gapped by the two leaders. Well done and thanks for hosting!

 

Was good to be racing again after a nice cool off period and reflection.
Had no pace at all, but was hanging in there until my car did a 720 after the rear right spun up through that flat curb in T10, did a 720 and bounced off some walls, had to pit with 60L still in my tank, missed the box as well so a 90 second pit stop + another 20 or so reversing and getting it up on the jacks, plus that big spin/crash...

Also no idea how some of you did the whole 90min on the same set of tyres, my last 10 laps I had no grip at all, front tyres where shot completely and this is after a change...Maybe I need to run more TC in race, but I cant see myself lasting the whole race on the same set in the 720.

 

There, on that screen, once back in the garage (3.00 is new - 1-1.5 is pretty dead)
No option to see whilst in car - just like IRL.
