Yeah @Jeffrey Ruskus, that last minute strategy call earned me the victory! That first stint there was a constant 4-5 second gap so I planned to pit a bit later than you for a dash of fuel and fresh tyres, but then decided to keep track position and just take some fuel. With 10 seconds in my pocket I thought if I could stay within 0.5-1.0 second of your lap times on those fresh tyres I should still be ahead come the last laps, traffic would be a coin toss as to whether it would go for or against me. I also had to manage my tyres to have some life left come those last laps if it turned into a fight to the line. I wasn't sure if it would work but it was one of those hero or zero moments especially around Bathurst. In the end the tyres felt fine so it was just making sure I kept it on the road. I also had the white flag coming down the mountain so I eased off and found a Bentley sideways across the track, not sure who the driver was but thanks for the track awareness, they kept their car still so I could just maneuver around them. Really chuffed with that win since it was my first race in the Aston after falling out of love with the Audi. Well done to all finishers, Bathurst is always a tough one and a relief when that chequered flag drops. ;)
