As previously stated in my post - I have already followed those steps as instructed. I'm still receiving an error though.

Should work then. I assume you have DRM v1.3 installed and you have the osrw brands Hatch installed.

Yes. Both of them. I double-checked all my versions today. Mod is 1.3, OSRW from the link further up the thread is installed, Real names patch (Only file #3 on the list, not 1,2 or 4) is installed. Real skins patch is installed. Everything is correct and I'm still being checksum'd out of the server when I attempt to join. Maybe my booking hasn't gone through or my server slot was applied to the incorrect GUID etc?

Checksums are nearly always track related in my experience. Had you added any other mods to Brands prior to the OSRW files? Maybe they're still there causing issues.
I'm not sure what method John is using to control access to the server, but you'd get a denial error or similar if you weren't on it's lists - or just dumped into an un-occupied car on an open server with GUID controlled skins.

If you installed DRM 1.3 by over-writing I'd suggest deleating the car folders from your Assetto directory completely and then putting fresh copies back in.

Also make sure you've put your OSRW files in the right place. That would cause failed loads too if the server actually let you in.

I used content manager for my OSRW install so I can't imagine it was incorrect. I'm already working on a clean reinstall of the cars.

Yeah I have no idea what's going on. I've done hundreds of mod installations for half a dozen plus leagues and never had this many problems for sure. I'm absolutely certain I did everything correctly so it must be a file conflict of some kind. I guess I'll withdraw from the series since I can't race with everything being broken for me.

Did you apply the correct "Real Names Patch" version?

What you need to do to enter the server

    1. Download and install the Real Skins patch: Real Skins Patch

    2. Download and install the Real Names patch: Real Names Patch
Be sure to install the correct version as shown below or you will get a checksum error:
(unpack the files and overwrite the original files in your "content/cars" folder)

Yes on all Counts JVD. I've already said that everything is installed correctly multiple times and nobody's listening. I haven't done anything wrong. I followed the instructions perfectly.

I'm going to try a clean install and doing everything again. I'm 99% sure it's something with the track files may be conflicting with another league version of the track. But I doubt it's because I misintalled anything.

Content manager might have installed the latest version of the OSRW patch? I distrust anything that's 'clever' and checks things for me - as when on sites that don't use up to date track/data versions you'll always have problems like this. Install OSRW manually when you're done this time so you know where it's gone :)

A top tip if you're doing a clean install is to make a backup of all the stock tracks to guard against this sort of thing in future.

I'm guessing it is related to the OSRW install using CM.

So I restarted my computer and now all of a sudden everything works without changing anything any more than I already had? What? I hate mods sometimes man, lol.

I experienced two server connection failures yesterday evening. I hope that was a tempory glitch. Any of the other guys had this too? My league race prior to my parctice session went without a glitch, so not sure what caused this.

Hey, when installing new mods, make sure you close down CM and start it again to join online race - if you're using CM. In single player it might work immediately. Not sure how it works now through the default launcher as it's been awhile.

I didn't go on last night - didn't get any disco's the night before, although my wheel did loose center. This is annoying as I had thought it was due to my old PC being strained to the absolute limit - as the new one laughs at AC this means my ancient G25 might finally be dying (again - I've replaced a lot of parts now over the years!).
I'm hoping it doesn't repeat in the race, as the M1 is not easy to drive with the wheel more than 10 degrees out!

I've just uploaded the camera from my video if anyone wants it - it should give some good atmospheric shoots in the early parts of the race if you aim it at a mid grid car :)

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/8bcqgqu0v4bf2x4/Brands GP cam.rar?dl=0

Drop it into the following folder -
    'Your steam directory'\assettocorsa\content\tracks\ks_brands_hatch\gp_osrw\data
it shouldn't over-write anything unless you already have extra cameras, in that case just change the number on the end of the name to 1 higher than your highest camera file to avoid over-writing.
You can also put it into the equivalent place in the gp folder to add these cameras to the normal version of the track.

Make sure you practice your race starts. These cars are tricky to get off the line.

    Race password has been set.

A reminder for safety at the start

The start of the race will be tricky because the tires and brakes are stone cold. It will be hard to stop the car especially in turn 2.
Please be careful at the start and brake in time for turn 2, a lot earlier than your normal braking point.
    Otherwise we'll have a giant pill-up :)

    Have fun all

To underline Johns point - we will not be using tire warmers for this season. I can't recommend strongly enough that you try these cars offline without using the warmers.
I think you'll be surprised just how spoilt you've been so far ;)

Grp2 drivers have less to worry about where brakes are concerned - but need to be very aware of the Grp1 cars around them, expect stopping distances to be pretty much double that of a 'hot' lap for most of us!
