Looking good so far but cant seem to get the graphics looking right. Also I get annoying freezes during single player races with 20 AI. Love the Ultima race car and Caterhams. Think they still need to do a lot of work on this very rough in places. What PC3 should have been. Looking forward to some online races :)

I have been trying to tweak it a little as well it was kinda choppy on ultra in 4k with a N1080 but turning down stuff in 4k is not that bad anyway so I have it looking good with a steady 60 fps .. its not quite as optimized on the SMS engine as PC1 & 2 are & not using a lot of the features yet ,or if at all ,that the engine has . but I can see the potential ! I also see what looks like dated ghx maybe bringing over all there old stuff from the gmotor engine as It reeks still (in a good way) of rf1 ! & the online racing so far has been real good , the servers been up 24/7 its public right now but will be locked down before test race day ..
First "official test race" is Tuesday the 15th with another following on the next Tuesday- 29th , we still need a Car & track combo for that one feel free to chime in ! Ya the Ultima is a fun car ! first one I tried .. It was really fun at Kylaimi .. & it will be fun at Interlagos on Tuesday ! singe ups are on the testing site & the event wont show on the SRO home page ,last I checked we had 10 ! be nice to get a few more !

Is there a way to adjust the cockpit side to side ?? on my monitor the Vintage open wheelers all have the view slightly to the left of center .. its hard to see in the image so I circled the center of my screens LG logo to show it .. In PC2 I think there was a way to adjust this but can't find it in AMS2 .. IMG-3305w.jpg

Also how the hell do you see replays? I don't see any UI info for replays ,how to find them ? how to view them ? I only see the replay icon up top right and it always says 'no replays" lol

That is because the steering wheel is set slightly to the left to make room for the gearstick. But I don' t know can you adjust that, maybe you need map some buttons for that.

The game menu has a camera image at the top. In multiplayer that ask when exiting "do you want save replay"

Automobilista 2 V1.0.5.0 is now available, featuring the much awaited GT3 / GT4 car pack and the Nurburgring Circuit.

Release Promo - Temporary free access to the Nurburgring track!

With the Nordschleife and 24h layouts not quite ready for this release, we have elected to temporarily offer the other modern Nurburgring layouts FREE to all users until the long layouts are added to the package at some point next week.

Please be advised that upon the addition of the Nordschleife & 24h layouts, all Nurburgring versions will revert to being available only for owners of the DLC or packages that include it.

    Updated Force Feedback

This update adds fresh Force Feedback developments, the most significant being:

    - Damping now adjustable via in-game FFB menu *
    - Enhanced tyre flatspots **
    - Enhanced feedback during braking
    - Enhanced road feel (adjustable via FX slider) ***
    - Improved scrub effect (adjustable via FX slider)
    - Effectively eliminated FFB "deadzone" around center in some cars
    - Improved gyro moment accuracy
    - Now using SETA patch offset/deformation for mechanical trail (much more "organic" feel on edge of grip)
    - Tyre temperature and pressure will affect feedback
    - More distinctive oversteer / understeer feedback

    * We recommend using damping in game vs on wheel setting. Damping in game scales with vehicle, so roughly same level for all cars. On wheel / driver damping doesn't scale with wheel gain, so if you have gain too low, damping will overwhelm FFB signal.

** flatspots are currently presented in "raw" form. Given tire is split into many small patches, you will receive "impulses" as there are "flat patches" on tire. It depends on amount of wear on individual patch. Hence the note "raw signal".

*** Road feel is based on physical surface mesh roughness / bumps - which on real vehicles would be "fed back" to the driver via vibration "travelling" thru chassis and as a result will be felt on steering rim especially cars and race cars that have racks bolted directly to chassis, without any sort of insulating "rubber mounts" - take note this would only "vibrate", not "move" wheel rim left-right. Given our gaming controllers are effectievly "1DOF" device - ie. able to move only left or right, we are shaping this vibration such that it can be felt on them too.

IMPORTANT: Custom Force Feedback profiles may be affected by code changes to the FFB system and not work as before the update. If you find that is the case consider sticking to the default profile until the author of the custom alternative updates his version.

Do you still have to delete the files from your Documents folder to let the FFB update take effect?
    Which files are those again?

Not sure john but worth a try if your FFb is wonky , BTW how do you like your G29 after a year or so ? .my peddles are failing ..breaks coming on ect.. cleaned it 100 times ..its a G27 7 years old … G29 is still the most affordable pkg out there ..

  19. Mark Jones

Need to give it a go but never normally go wrong with something like that :)
Also my G25 pedals failed a year or so ago but wheel was still fine, might be worth just upgrading pedals? Assume you can buy Thrustmaster ones as standalone or maybe Fanatec ones, sure there are others. I went mad and bought Heusinkveld Pros, bit over indulgent but great.

As with Mark, if it is only your pedals failing, buy some dedicated pedals with a load cell.

You aren't going to get much improvement over a G27 wheel to a G29 wheel (apart from more buttons (everybody loves more buttons :D)).

I still use an old G27 wheel, but with fanatac CSR Elite pedals
