This is the Assetto Corsa DRM test feedback page.

(The real names patch version you have installed earlier (there are 5 inside) will be replaced by another version (info to follow) as that version does not work with live-timing)

    Links:
    DRM Revival mod DLC: https://drm-modding-team.com/

Before we can use this mod officially for a series, it needs to be tested for flaws and potential problems.
All league members are requested to test this mod in all aspects and report their findings below.

If you find problems, report the problems.
If you find no problems, report that.

We intent to drive this mod in a 3 class multiclass series as seen below, unless testing proves otherwise:

    Concept Class 1 Fast:
    CARMA 308......................Ferrari 308 GTB Turbo DRM '81
    CARMA 2 308...................Ferrari 308 GTB Turbo DRM '81 LS
    PURIANO 3H.....................Porsche 935 K3 DRM '79
    PURIANO 3H 2..................Porsche 935 K3 DRM '79 JOSET
    RMT 1N...........................BMW M1 Turbo DRM '81
    RMT 1001

    Concept Class 2 Semi Fast:
MAROD AERO...................Ford Capri III Zakspeed DRM '80
    PURIANO 1H.....................Porsche 935 K2 3.0 DRM '77
    PURIANO 1H 2..................Porsche 935 K2 3.0 DRM '78
YAMAMOTO DELIKATA........Toyota Celica LB Turbo DRM '77
YAMAMOTO DELIKATA 2.....Toyota Celica LB Turbo DRM '78
LARDO MONASTIR.............Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo DRM '80
LARDO MONASTIR 2..........Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo DRM '79

    Concept Class 3 Slow:
MAROD SCREAM................Ford Escort II RS Turbo DRM '78
    RMT 120..........................BMW 320 Turbo DRM '78
    RMT 120 2.......................BMW 320 Turbo DRM '77

    Findings so far:
    1. The mod has been tested on-line and it works.
    2. The skin pack has been tested on-line and it works.
    3. The real names patch has been tested on-line and it works. Doesn't work on Live-Timing.

I am really surprised at the classes mentioned above as the results from Spa are quite different. I have tested all cars except the RMT 1001 on default setup with 30 liters and endurance tires (the slower tire).

How are the classes defined? Is that based on fuel perhaps? Doesn't look like it is based on speed.

Fastest car for me is the Marod Aero but it is in class 2. => Marod Aero to class 1.
The Porsche 935 K2 also seem to be closer to class 1 than class 2.
The only car I didn't drive is the RMT 1001 and it is one of the slowest on the timing sheets but it is listed under class 1? I need to give that one a shot.

Will the test server return? It's the Fulvia now.

It is a concept provided by another SRO member. The tests are also to prove or disprove that concept.
We can move cars around in the classes as needed.

Another Admin needed the server. As soon as it's free, it goes back up.

What you can do already is delete the DRM cars you have installed now and reinstall the original DRM revival cars. After that you can apply the "Real skin patch". That's how it will be installed on the server next time.
I have to figure out which real names patch version will work on live-timing first. So that comes later.

I haven't tested the K3 yet :p, and I think I was actually running a lap at full boost to get my time (all the other cars were at the non-damaging 80% setting, K2 is half a second or so slower if I remember right when on safe boost).
Might be able to get a chunk out of the 308 time also as that was on stock setup bar the gearing, It was stuck to the road like glue (maybe good for less experienced drivers?) but stock setup has a fair amount of downforce - for both the N1 and the K2 I was on edge the entire way with very little downforce at all (The N1 is pure Evil at speed I should add :D).
Given my love affair with classic pork I was going to suggest that if I ran the K2 you bump me up into the top class anyway if that's possible with the league software here.
The K3 has a couple of hundred extra ponies so WILL be faster again.

RMT 1001 is the slowest car by a long way, almost in a class of it's own below the 'slow' class! A shame as it's nice to drive.

I haven't looked into fuel burns and range yet, just trying al the cars and grinning a lot so far

still no DRM server up today
i absolutely love this mod. Hadnt used it in a long while but spent an afternoon today trying various cars at Spa (epic combination!)
i was within 1 second of each other using the K2 935, Lancia MonteCarlo and F308 using default setups. Also used the feisty BMW 320i, fantastic car but seemed to be about 2 secs slower a lap. The attention to detail in its cockpit is great. They are all very detailed, with maybe the Ferrari cockpit a bit weaker in quality. Watching the replays just felt like being at Spa Classic
I was thinking this series would benefit from success ballast, might help in pegging back regular podium finishers towards the chasing pack and giving mortals an outside chance. Cant wait to finally use the mod in anger for online league racing.:)

Well, I've tried all 3 versions of the real names, and none of them changes the default names in Live-Timing. So, I guess we have to live with that.

The server is up again with this instalment:

    DRM mod
    Real skins patch
Real Names patch: drm_ui_real_names_drm_brand_1.12 (use this or you'll get a checksum error. Unzip and let it override in all the car file names)

just tried the server and all seemed okay :)

tried out the M1 procar and the little Beemer 2002. Both again have amazingly detailed cockpits, a real labour of love was put into these  The BMW 2002 is the slowest car i've tried, shame as its such a little beauty to drive, like the 320i. These two would make a great touring car season. Or maybe we insist Tim takes it :D

one minor thing wrong with both slower beemers is the driver seems to have gorilla arms and/or is a 6ft 5 behemoth driving, Only us VR guys would notice.:p

This is a useful link to choose circuits from the era when the group 5 cars (4th Generation) ran:-
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_World_Sportscar_Championship_circuits
Spa, Nurburgring, Monza, Brands Hatch, Riverside, Silverstone, Imola, Kyalami, Watkins Glen and Osterreichring spring to mind as great tracks for these cars. Also Dijon-prenois, Norisring and Fuji Speedway from that era.
How about Le Mans as a season prime round with double points ;)

I've been looking at Le Mans in Grp.C. With out decent mechanical damages or an epically long race it's just a snooze fest IMO.
Ironically you'd need to run one of the horrific modern layouts with the chicanes to keep drivers awake!

While we are server hopping though, one observation is that we really need as many cars driven by as many people as possible. You can't compare driver Y in car A with driver Z in car B just because the 2 cars are similar. These have such different characteristics that the driver habits/preferences will have a disproportionate effect on laptimes. Ideally we want to wait for at least 2 people to have tried the majority of the likely popular cars before moving on. Hopefully we'll have enough time to do so!

I think you just created seasons track list, just decide dates and it's good to go.
    edit:...and Le Mans included ofc.

Been practicing with Mark, Jari and Kimi at Brands. Great seeing those beasty cars on track

Can we stick to using the E tires only for testing purposes? I saw Jari using the M tires with the Ford Capri (aero) at some point.I'm not sure how much faster they are around here but those tires are quite a bit faster.

From my initial testing I'd say the Porsche K3 is faster than the Ford Capri but it's much harder to do a clean lap.. I was certainly down on my deltas. Well, I'm not very good with Porsche's..

Great combo with these cars on Brands Hatch!

Medium slicks are useless at race, Lancia needs 5 pitstops with those...

Please can we do an entire season at Brands?
It's soooo much fun in the little stuff :D

Also, might I suggest the season is run with full damage (And preferably no tire warmers if I'm honest) as it seems silly to have a mod simulating the Russian roulette nature of 80's turbos with damage heavily reduced ;)

Well, tracks still have to be decided on by the league. I would prever tracks that can hold atleast 30 cars as I suspect we might have a successful series here that will see red lights above 30 entries. Furthermore, we might have to run the DRM as a 3 class series because of the performance differences. Running a track as Brands Hatch with max 24 cars would mean we would have grids of 3 x 8 cars. Those are small grids.
But it's a great track. If someone can mod the track to 30 pit stalls, that would be great.
