Registration Yes it's that time of year again for us to Host our what's becoming an annual event at SRO, namely the Indy 250, catering to our Oval racing fans both old and new. We will be using the same format, car mod and track version as last year to minimise the amount of time re-learning those skills required for this specialised form of racing. We will be running some test sessions before the race to allow climatisation before the event proper on 18th July. These will not require registration and will be open to all members who want to get a feel for this high-speed, close quarter racing with real drivers i.e. not AI. This will be the time for anyone unfamiliar with Oval racing to get to grips with it, ask questions, test pit-stops, running under cautions etc, all of which will be needed to get to the finish line in good order.

To avoid issues with results processing, due to there being two Classes of Indycar including the skin pack, please make sure to select your car from the skin pack. I've run cars from both skinpack options back to back and any car in the Indycar 2014 v1.65 pack does not have adjustable fuel mixture, unlike in the default S397 Indycar. However my testing showed that the additional skinpack cars are a few tenth's quicker per lap compared to the defaults even without mixture adjustment. My recommendation then is to only use a car from the skinpack.
Remember when selecting your car to go into the Customise screen and select the Indycar configuration and 119" wheelbase options for the best performance.
