Welcome to Round 4 @ Spa! This will be the first event with the latest June 2025 Update. Make sure your game is up to date! Will have 2 new DLC cars to choose from. The Lamborghini Huracán LMGT3 Evo2 and the Lexus RC F LMGT3, these cars come free if you have a Pro or Pro Plus subscription (as well as all the LMU and rF2 DLC content) We will also have the new improved tire model: The LMGT3 tyre model has had another significant refinement, particularly aimed at reducing the potential abuse of slip angle and increasing low-speed weight, whilst keeping the stability and predictability of the tyre that players have come to expect - as always with plenty of feedback from real-world drivers - we hope it is something players will enjoy. As for the event, this race will have an afternoon start @ 4pm (in game time) with time excell set at 10X this will have the finish be around 11pm (in game time) use these settings for your offline practice! You do not need to own any of the DLC to compete in the remainder of this series; all you need is to download the 2 free GT3 cars to get on the server.. ( McLaren 720s GT3 Evo & Ford Mustang GT3) On race day the server will go live at 17:30 GMT for a 90-minute practice session, followed by the 15-minute Q session @ 19:00, with the 45-minute race starting at approx 19:20! You can expect the track to cool down a bit after sunset, so be prepared We hope to see a nice grid for this one so spread the word & see you on the track!
The Lamborghini Huracán LMGT3 Evo2 and the Lexus RC F LMGT3 have been added to the SRO database and are now ready to go for the remainder of the series.
I'm glad our race isn't for another week plus', to allow for all the hot fixes that come out after an update lol .. Adding new features to an early access game will definitely have some hiccups, My games running fine, but I see lots of issues being reported ..... The new tire model will take some getting used to as well. It's a bit trickier now.. Smooth is the key
The new tire model seems to take a lot of getting used to for some drivers, although it seems to fit my driving style (slow). My unsolicited advice is to just chuck all your old setups out the window and start over from the new defaults. Adjust nothing at first. Just get used to the new tire behavior and how the rear end reacts to your inputs rather than trying to correct anything in the garage. TC and ABS settings are very different now, and LMU default setups have always seemed pretty good to me. In the videos i've watched where drivers are complaining, they seem to be trying to use a pre-update set, or immediately make their "usual changes" before going on track. Personally, I spent most of my practice time re-tweaking my FFB settings to optimize the new front end detail. Once i got used to it, the cars felt much better to me, especially under braking. Had no issues in an hour race at LeMans yesterday (although it seemed a third of the 51 car grid - Gold or better SR! - DNF'd, so "your mileage may vary").
After spending some time at Spa, I'm really starting to like the new tire model, probably because I'm already slow, so not always on the edge, as this tire won't perform well if you're overaggressive . The first thing I noticed, The slow-speed turn-in/feel is much improved, Im in the porker as that's the car I have spent the most time with in LMU so for comparison reasons I choose that one and right of the bat I can now feel the front end better in the slow sections like final chicain and T1, before it was to lite and felt a bit floaty but now I can feel the bite and compression of the tire.. I did have a few spins in the hi-speed sector 3 left hander before the old bus stop, but once the tires heated up, i could keep my foot down as long as I hit the apex in good fashion lol .. So far I'm liking the changes ..
