Welcome to Round 2 Hockenheim 1966

Hockenheim is one of the classic circuits of all time, it was born back on 30's
and had been hosting all kind of racing since then. This is the mid/late 60's version of track, when motodrom area was build and racing direction change. This is the non-chicane layout, where Jim Clark get kill back on 1968. After this incident 2 chicanes were built.

I got damage and I didn't have a pit stall so there was nothing I could do...

Thanks for apologising. It was a dodgy move indeed, but these things happen.

Did you press the pit button before pitting?

Button before pitting? I've never had to do that before...

As was I. After hitting Paul, I had to spend 60 seconds in the pits. Luckily my steering wheel was straight again after that, but I had lost 15 km/h on top speed.
All I could do was tick off the laps after that.

Yes, If you don't press the pit button, the red square doesn't show.

Yeah ... sometimes these errors happen. You're a good driver, so next time will be better :)

I don't understand the results here. Jens did more laps than me and yet is classified below me. Sam did more laps than Paulo and yet is classified last. Am I reading that correctly?

They were both listed as DQ. That puts you last on the list.

Yup, got drive-thru for track cut when going back for repairs after the mayhem on the back straight.
Did the drive thru twice but it wasn't recognized, might be dodgy pit entry or to high speed (but speed limit was 400km/h?) so got DQ.
(tried offline afterwards, driving "slow and exact", then it worked)

Sounds unlucky and unfair to me

    Usual story here
reasonable pace and small spin early on then set some ok laps before taking my eye off the track for a split second and catching the edge of the grass at high speed. Hit corner marker and crashed spectacularly. Wheels gone and out!
Enjoyed this week but had a sore shoulder so steering position was a bit uncomfortable......excuses...excuses but really im just crap.
Need a consistant performance and to stop over practicing on race day.
lessons learned, :)congrats to podium as always:).... not easy holding it together for a full sixty minutes of racing.
    Cyas next round I hope
