Welcome to round 4 Nurburgring 1967

    (Installation notes)
    Nurburgring 1967
Original tracks made by Nick303 and Motorfx, then merged and improved by Kackbratze for rFactor.
Converted and improved for Assetto Corsa.

To install extract in 'assettocorsa' folder

ATENTION: To enjoy this track in all its potential you need Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch installed. Some shaders from CSP are required in order for the track to work, otherwise it will just crash.
If you don't want to install CM and CSP, you can still get the required shader files in this link:

    ac-custom-shaders-patch/sdk-shaders
Some of new shaders compiled for AC SDK (both versions) and vanilla AC - ac-custom-shaders-patch/sdk-shaders
    github.com
Drop the content from "new" folder into assettocorsa/system/shaders

Installation of track is wrong in the above notes

    1. You need to open zip file nurburgring1967.zip
    2. In the zip file there is a nurburgring1967 folder. Open this folder
    3. Extract content folder into assettacorsa folder

Minor difference but this works. Just in case like me you spen 10 minutes wondering why it doesn't show up in game :)

    Pit lane procedure

Everybody has to do the same pit lane procedure.
That means: Enter the pit lane at the yellow Dunlop tower at the beginning of the pit lane, and exit at the very end of the pitlane.

You may not "cut in and exit" halfway down the pitlane.

Sound good but is the pit lane wide enough. If others cars are pitting at the same time can you drive down the length of the pit lane. Back in the day of course they didn't do that. Just pointing out a possible flaw in this :)

Sorry forgot that you can drive through cars as if they weren't there in the pitlane. Hate that. I assume you can do this during the race. :(

stracker seems to be borked as peoples lap times are not being recorded this week. Ive been on there several times and set lap times but none showing.

Just did a test lap and it's showing my laptime. That means stracker works :)

Are you sure your lap was valid? Invalid laps are not registered.

I like the look of the grid for valid only - It's Louis, Me then Syd at the front and everyone else in the Pits :p

I should be loving this combo of a CSL Batmobile on the infamous Nordschleiffe but it just sucks :( the ffb feels massively over-ramped either for the track or this car, meaning my wheel bucks and grabs all the time despite toning down the ffb). The CSL handles like crap unless I run it stiff which doesn't suit the bumps here. Got to say I prefer the Kunos version of the Ring, even if it is modern.

re the valid laps, I didn't get any cut warnings so assumed they were valid ? Though its damn hard to get a clean lap here with such an errant handling car.

If anyone feels they can't make this event, please unregister asap, because I have to make last adjustments to the server with the actual gridlist.
Cut off point is 15.00 pm GMT.

S-tracker automatically invalidates any lap you leave the track for, irrespective of how many wheels out the server is set to allow.
As for your car problems it's the car, the track may not be kunos quality but it's nothing like as bad as the CSL makes it feel. Take something else for a spin (Stock Kunos cars or the DRM freebe and you'll see what I mean.

The server has been updated with the list as it now stands.
You have the Porsche RSR now. The new Race server password can be found on the event page.
