I RECOMMEND that everyone does some practice on the server before the race.....hint, hint

Can you post the weather for each session Ken?

I jumped on server and saw
    Practice: rain
    All other sessions: no rain

But don't know if (for example) the race session is set to have rain half way through.

Don't you just love how weather anywhere in the world is so unpredictable....

I understand if somebody who wasn't racing set the weather, so was a surprise to all, but when the admin who is racing, knows the weather settings for qualifying and during the race, it isn't exactly fair to all others completing. (unless you just clicked the 'random' button rather than scripting the weather yourself)

Edit: I'll run a test and see if it rains during the race session

The server setting could (should) be seen as an weather prediction, just as you mostly look at them in real life before going to track.

Andrew you obviously haven't seen enough of my driving to realise that it will not give me any advantage whatsoever over anybody else in the race :)
Introducing a weather aspect into this one event is meant to be a "disruptor" by bringing in a random, undefined element which will need to be dealt with on the hoof, so preparation for any eventuality will need to be done based on the weather seen in Practice.

The sky above Snetterton is crying
Riding in such conditions does not make sense
I understand that in qualifying, that the weather will change in the race, but training in the rain, it does not give anything
In addition, in this weather I have unnatural reflections on the windows, it is distracting
We still do not know the server settings for the racing weekend
i.e. we have it, it is written: Olways Dry

How do you create a setup to cater for the conditions if you do not test in the same conditions?

"so preparation for any eventuality will need to be done based on the weather seen in Practice."

Those were the general, overall server conditions for the series when it was created, which doesn't mean it can't change

Creating a setup for a rainy race makes sense when the forecasts predict a high probability of such a scenario

if it is a weather forecast for the race, it's ok

    I hate rain

That message is not from the rF2 server. It looks like a Windows message to me.

Can you run an offline session with the BTCC mod and Snetterton track?
Do both items show in your installed content tab in rF2?

Do you have the right path to the packages folder in the content tab?
