I voted for 90min and GT3, but I wouldn't mind a 120 multiclass. GT3 because I personally wouldn't race the GT4s unless its GT4 exclusively, and 90min because that's a nice sprint length but 2 hours would be cool too.

I'm all for multiclass if we can get a grid big enough.

Thanks Alex ! I'm kind of in the same boat ;-) (I literally have the speed of a boat , prb caz I was a charter boat captain for like 20 years lol)
What do you guys think about a series with 5 90 min races and one 120 min race at like Spa or one of the larger tracks with day / night transitions ?

Now you're talkin'. Something with 24hr history like Spa would be nice.

Looks like 90 min and multi class are taking the lead !
Round 1 start date is closing in so the poll will only be open threw the weekend 9-27 '

  7. With the previous series having very small grids at the end, multi class will basically half that :(

Yup this also concerns me .. it It seems to happen with every series & gaming as a whole, towards the end some ppl just give up or real life gets in the way or who knows .. Sometimes I wonder why i even try lol .. but i wont give up , all we can do is do our best to try & set up events players will want to be a part of & have some good racing ! We had some epic grids in the beginning but seems alot of our members got poached to other leagues/events or fell off the edge of the world ? Who knows .. ?.. nothing can be done about that ... It is what it is & at this point im simply going with what the majority wants .. or as close as we can get anyway .. As admins we’re all just volunteering our time & $$ here to try & keep the racing as good as it can be ..

I agree. That is why I voted for single class.
For multi-class racing you need to have big turn outs. The only leagues where I have seen this to work is when the league is a bit specialised, say only GT, there is only one or maximum two sims, there are only one or two series running in parallel and each series will run for several months.
Here at SRO we have a bit of everything, lots of series running at the same time and not for very long. It is also the reason, in my opinion, why you get a lot of drop outs along the way. People see something a bit shinier elsewhere and off they go. With a specialised league the drivers are enthusiasts for that type of racing and so they stay.
So, once again my opinion, multi-class will never be successful at SRO in its current format.

Yet multi class is leading the votes by 2 to 1 o_O .. so this tells me players like MC racing . & our rf2 MC events seem to do ok .. so I guess you can look at it anyway you want but MC does do ok in the beginning (like any other series)but like the ACC series the rf2 MC series also drops off towards the end .. That's just the nature of on line gaming especially when its free ..
I was watching the GT world challenge America races (as I have the TV package that has all that stuf !) most all the races only had like 16 car fields .. & the multi class would have 5- 6 of each car .. & It's still great racing .. if we have 7 - 8 of each class I think it would still be fun .. The one thing I remember about to 30+ grids we had with the first ACC series here is that it was a complete wreck fest , no driving etiquette & some players use retaliation tactics ,others simply got mad and rage quit lol .. it was a logistical nightmare ..I had more time sorting protests then I did racing lol, So the large grids can also be a negative for certain types of racing , a lot of those 'not so cool' drivers are gone now and the core ACC group we now have is a excellent mix of fast & fair drivers ,& its slowly growing as new members join ( I just saw one yesterday who joined for ACC ) so like I said , & this goes for what ever we decide, all we can do is put it out there & see what happens:) ..

Ok drivers ! thanks for all the input .. I had to pull the trigger and get the series up for registration , It might not be exactly what everyone wants but its the last ACC series of 2020 & we are going with the majority votes .. Its now open for early registration > https://simracingonline.co.uk/racing/eventinfo/1419

Rob I'm thinking another thing to consider is having a poll on the actual time of day for the race. I'm aware of some racers dropping out because it's too late for them to run a 90min event.

I'm in Canada so an hour earlier is OK for me, maybe even better and an earlier race for guys in Europe.

Its also about availabe time slots as other series/sims are in the 17:00/18:00 slots on Sat already ..so I don't have a choice in most cases ..at SRO we will not over lap races /sims so a driver wont have to choose one over the other effecting the girds etc...;)
