    Automobilista 2 V1.0.6.2 Now Live!

    Automobilista 2 has been updated to V1.0.6.2 - this is another hotfix to our latest update, fast-tracked into release to address some relevant issues with the new content.

    The hotfix also includes some of the developments intended for the update coming up later this month, hence the unusually large size.

    No settings or setup reset required with this update other than for the 2 cars specified (BMW M1 Procar & Ginetta G58).

    This update also completes support for custom liveries - more information and templates for all cars to be posted shortly!

    • Added Nurburgring Sprint Short layout
    • UI Server Browser: Disabled refresh button during cool-down period; Sort by player count descending is now default; Trimmed leading whitespace from lobby names; first item after refreshing/sorting list is now selected

    EDIT: Automobilista 2 has now been updated to v1.0.1.1 - this is a hotfix to complement the latest release with some further improvements & fixes to new features / content.

    Regarding Spa-Francorchamps DLC: We apologise for the ongoing unavailability of the standalone Spa DLC on Steam - we have already requested Valve´s support to address it and expect it will be sorted soon (by Monday at the latest). In the meantime it is still possible to acquire the track as part of the Premium Track Pack, or the complete 2020-2021 Season Pass.

    • Setup reset - We strongly recommend users to delete the content of their Documents\Automobilista 2\savegame\(profile number)\tuningsetups , as some old setup may cause game breaking issues with the latest physics developments. Beware also that existing championship seasons will also be invalidaded with the championship mode updates. It is NOT necessary to reset your graphical on controller configurations.
    • Disk Space - Users are advised to ensure they have 10-15GB worth of disk space in their AMS2 install to accommodate the addition of seasonal foliage sets for all tracks.
    • Time Trial - While a more thorough evaluation will be made following release to verify its necessity, it´s almost certain that a new and hopefully definitive reset to existing Time Trial leaderboards will be required as the physics and LiveTrack updates will render times set with some cars as of v1.1.4.5 unnatainable, and older setups obsolete.
    • Shadow Updates - V1.2 introduces revised shadow casting parameters, with increased resolution and enhanced cascading which should generally result in improved shadow quality overall, but also some side effects and minor performance hit under the same settings - generally settings have been bumped a quality level so if you previously were running shadows on Ultra and experience a performance hit with v1.2.0.0, consider switching to High setting as it should still provide improvements relative to V1.1.4.5 Ultra - same if you were running High and switching to Medium in V1.1.5.0, and Medium to Low. If you experience crashes while running shadows on ULTRA, consider switching to HIGH.

    First Impressions for the 74' 911. The car is a beast & a blast to drive .. Like me, it's a dinosaur of types :D is it perfect, hell no it has the slow speed psyx stuff going on like PC2 & the rest of AMS2 so if you are into that kind of "exact psyx" you will have a heyday bashing this one lol, However, if your into old school cars & remember how it was back then your in for a treat, it's got everything I was expecting, strait line hi-speed drift "well documented in the real car forums" Does your early 911 wander? - Page 2

    Then there's a fair amount of proper Liftoff oversteer I found it quite manageable & fun , you can drift this thing, But !, some guys like it, some say it's off a bit,:rolleyes:o_O one thing for sure is, there is a learning curve :eek::D & it comes with a high spin percentage, :p oh & strait line breaking only with this one!
    To be quick You need to treat this baby like a woman & coax her into submission ;) then you can ease her through the apex's :D .. BUT!~ one wrong move & SNAP' there she goes lol ... This combo Salvador & 74' 911 for me was a blast, it's strength's come more from the 'fun factor' over the 'does it drive like the real thing, or the hard core psyx guy factor'.
    So depending on what you are into, your mileage may vary with this car, IMO it's is pretty spot-on for the era as far as- nail-biting, white knuckle, on thin ice at the edge, driving!:p , Just how I remember it:rolleyes::eek: ..lol (ya I'm that old - got my DL in 72' lol) did a lot of weekend amateur off-road truck racing back then so I like a lot of throttle-steer / sidewise action:D

    • Fixed an issue where some vehicles wouldn't receive blue flags in some specific places (Curitiba main straight for example)
    • Fixed some AI vehicles would enter hotlap behaviour as soon as they left pits in qualy/practice instead of entering outlap behaviour
    • Made AI work harder to avoid the passing cars lane under blue flag conditions
    • Increased distance AI cars under blue flag will factor cars behind to move out of the way
    • Velocitta: AI tweaks (less apex grass trimming and sausage surfing)
