WELCOME TO THE F1 1939 CHAMPIONSHIP

    1939 Grand Prix season
The 1939 Grand Prix season was the seventh AIACR European Championship season. The championship winner was never officially announced by the AIACR due to the outbreak of World War II less than two weeks after the final event in Switzerland.
The Italian GP initially had been a fifth event, but it became clear well before the war that it would be cancelled due to construction work. At that time, it was also undecided which scoring system would be used, the old minimum points system that basically counted positions, or the French maximum points system similar to the modern one.

Although Hermann Paul Müller would have won the championship on points according to the old system, the president of Nazi Germany's highest motorsports organisation declared Hermann Lang the champion. Lang was clearly the dominating driver in that season, which was acknowledged by the international press.

In the first two of the four championship events, both Lang and Müller won once while the other failed to complete 75% of the distance. The German round saw Lang retiring early, and Müller finishing 2nd behind Caracciola. This left Müller in the lead in both scoring systems, as published in magazines, with the Swiss round deciding the outcome. Müller finished 4th behind three Mercedes, which gave him the lead in the old point system, while in front, Lang had beaten Caracciola for the lead in the maximum points system.

No Esc. on track rule in Qualification
In qualification, you can not press Escape (Esc.) while on track (if you crash) and then go back out again.
If you want to do another run, you have to come into the pits first.

This is to protect the other drivers from someone taking abnormal risks to set a good lap time and crashing (other cars).

I don't know why this is called 'F1' 1939. The F1 regulations weren't published until 1946! This was just Grand Prix racing.

Hi Caitlin, the creator bugg66 called his mod "F1 1930s", so I'm just keeping in line with the name. We are running the 1939 cars from that mod, so hence the title :)

Please can we have speed limits in the pits high or removed? These things don't like to be kept at low revs and are likely to stall (they do not have a starter!!)

    Hi !
I did some tests and I have the same problem as with the Supra mod (and probably a few others!) the engine sound is still very weak...you have to set the ambient noises (tires, rolling or others) to 0 to hear only the engine and still it's very weak, plus the noise decreases (probably to take into account the wind and speed!!) and I'm not talking about when there are other cars around, then you only hear the opponents for a long time which makes driving not at all pleasant... For me, driving without engine sound is simply impossible!:confus:

Are I the only one who feels this problem?

    Éditer :
ok, after playing with all the settings + the integrity of the files, it seems that it was the sound output slider which was on auto that was causing the problem! the return on headphone or loudspeaker seems to have solved my problem!
    ;)

I also have to go to the sound setting to change it every time I start rF2, or the sound is too soft.
Is there a permanent way to fix that?

    Re-uploaded the skin pack

I have re-uploaded the skin pack (upper right corner) by uploading the pack through Sim Racing Online instead of Mediafire.
This should work for everyone :)

First unpack the skin pack. Every car from every brand has a custom skin. Select the one you want.

    Remember:
    - You don't have to install the complete skin pack, only the skin for the car that you are going to drive.
    For example, if you want the F1 1939 Tuned Mercedes nr. 20;

    1. in rFactor 2, first select the F1 1939 Tuned nr. 20 car and go to Customize
    2. then create a new folder
    3. go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\player\Settings and find the Folder "F1 1930s"
    4. inside the folder F1 1930s you will find the folder that you have created
    5. put the Mercedes nr. 20 "custom skin pack from the skin pack" inside that folder
    6. go back to rF2 and select the Mercedes nr. 20 / go to Customize / click on "+" and then "Alt" / go back and forth until you find your custom skin.
