Doing ok and figured out a decent (if unconventional) setup for this track. Hats off to the fast guys, I have no idea where you’re picking up two seconds but great work. it’s gonna be tough round here, great little circuit but you can defend easily, mini hungaroring! Lol. I’m assuming there’s no DRS around here?
I really can't get to grips (literally) with this track. I've tried, but I spend way more time on the daisies than on the track. I reckon I must have killed every single one of those dasies. Love the car and I believe I would get to love the track, but at the moment I think it would be better for me to bail on this one because I'm worried I would end up destroying the race for others. yes I did - didnt lose internet but connection went. I rejoined but server said 'You were returned to the monitor because you don't have the relevant content'. I noticed the SRO content said not fully installed but refreshing that/finishing install didnt work. I didnt have any issues in practice earlier today
very difficult race. An hour before the race, I just returned from the IRL rally, after a year-long break due to my serious injury, this was the first race, I was able to become 3rd, my good friend became 2nd, considering the circumstances, quite a good result. But this race in RF2 with you made me sweat, very bad actions before the pit stop, hit the fence, had to reverse and spend about 15 seconds on repairs, then exchanged mutual mistakes and tried to save the tires. It was interesting and difficult, thanks to everyone for the race, see you in 2 weeks. Good luck everyone!
Grats to the winner and podium, Ended up with a stop and go after the pit stop, Good battle with Phillip and then Johnny at the end, quite an intense track I almost ripped my wheel clean of the desk at one point.
Scrappy race from me. Car felt ok. Contact at the start (again). Fell to the back. Just couldn’t recover as I wasn’t quick enough. strapped on a set of softs and did a 12.7 which is a second and a half faster than what I’ve done so far so I have idea where that came from! Lol. I always seem to suffer on slow speed circuits and this was no exception. Maybe Mosport will be better. well done to the podium finishers.
Not fully sure why I had such an high tyre deg. As soon as that got an factor I was just fading. Got passed at the end of my first stint and also of my second. Not much I could do to keep Robin oder Jonny behind. Also Robin, it was nice to let me repass again, but I would say that was not necessary. Might be a touch to aggressive, I assume that would have been a colision without me opening the steering, but as I did, more or less a fair pass. Anyway, if you want to rewatch the start Again a bit wild, Nick seemed to try bump drafting with me But I was lucky to avoid the mayhem on the outside. Later I had tussle with Barret (old vs. fresh tyres) which was a bit to close for comfort (sorry). At least we made it.
Weirdly, I get the event package i.e 'SRO GP3 Intl Trophy R3.rfmod' automatically from the server but this always says not fully installed, even when refreshing the update from the online screens. After I got booted out I went to the offline content manager and tried to install the outstanding packages there, which worked (including all previous round packages). So, maybe that was it but I dont understand why I didn't get booted from previous rounds. Anyway, I will try making sure the next round package is fully installed for the next round and see if that helps..
Q: I didn't manage to do a clean lap, could be better, but ok, P4. R: A really good start, then I got squezed between Kostas and Michal, but we survived and I got to P3. Then after a few laps I was pleasently surprised to match the pace of Kostas and Roman. Kostas made a mistake, I took it and P2. Followed Roman nicely, we managed to pull a few seconds away from others. As the halfway was closing I tried to stay really close to Roman to try an overcut. Then I made a mistake and lost about a second or two and Roman went straight to pits (too straight ) I knew it was a great chance to get to P1, I pushed, made stop without errors. I came out and soon found myself behind Jagger (I think?). Ken pitted very late, at 2/3 of distance, I couldn't get past him no chance, so I lost a ton of time there.. Roman and Michal catched me and then it was a 3 way battle to the finish line. From P1 to P3 and before the last corner back to P2, great close racing! It was definetely one of the best races for me, super intense, just like the track itself Thanks to all the drivers for great and respectful driving! Can't wait for the next one! p.s.: Replay please, thx!
Best thing to try if this sort of thing happens again is to uninstall the rfmod with the modmgr tool and possibly both the track & car mods, then start again.
Second race in this series where I botched my pit-stop, compromising a better finishing position. Didn't get the pit limiter activated, or did but turned it off again(?), so got a S/G. I'd also set pit-stop to no tyres at the start, but then decided to change them and didn't set it for the stop, so double whammy of S/G penalty and no tyres. Took the tyres at the S/G. which this mod strangely allows, but probably lost 30+ secs or more overall. Still I enjoyed the early laps with Johnny & Philipp, working out who had the advantage where and was able to slip past Philipp when he went off track slightly on the exit of the penultimate corner. My medium tyres also allowed me to stay ahead of team mate Johnny on hards, who is normally way quicker than me, at least until the pit-stop debacle! An intense race on a fun track.
Qualifying: once again a fraction of a second behind Roman, perhaps it could have been better, but Matej ruined my plan by crashing right in front of me. By the way, the regulations point 3.4. Race: bad start, I meet Matej again and I lose two positions, then another two. The race was definitely not going my way, I thought I had to wait it out somehow. When everyone comes to their pitstop, I can finally accelerate, during which time I make my best times. After my pitstop I return to P3. The rest has already been told. Half of the season is behind us, I don't lose hope for at least one perfect race, because that's what is needed to beat Roman. Maybe next? Regards
I don't think it matters, I get the same message about missing content after the race, but regardless, if you are booted from the server and there is an open race session, you can't rejoin, I think even as spectator.
