If you can't find the server

If you can't find the server in the rFactor 2 server list, you can access this way:
    1. click on this link: https://simracepackages.lima-city.de/rF2server/
    2. scroll down to "SRO" (it's alphabetical)
    3. choose the correct server and Join with the password (password = on the sign up page)
    4. the server will start automatically and will take you to the event

Number 20 on the signup list will get € 20,00 !!

But then all 20 need to be in the race :D

    Installing a rF2 costum skin:
(you have to put each file from the download in the corresponding car after you created a new folder)

    1. In rF2, choose the corresponding car for the costume skin
    2. select customise
    3. create a new folder
    4. find the new folder in your rF2 player + settings
    5. put the mas file there
    6. reselect the corresponding car you chose and click on 'alt'

If you need help, let me know.

Can't get the skins to work or show up at all. This is what my folder looks like. Whenever I select the "alt" it just glitches and doesn't show anything. upload_2024-2-6_1-34-8.png

    Hi Maddie,
    Has the problem been resolved?
I'm guessing/hoping that if your Mas files look like they do in your photo, that there may have been a problem when downloading them from MediaFire.
They should look the same as in Neil's photo - yellow squares with the #2
If they do look like 'file' icons, would you try downloading and re-installing them?
If you have no luck, please get in touch.
Neil probably knows more about skinning than I do, so if I can't help I'm sure he will. One way or another you'll soon be screaming, in terror or in joy, as you plow one of those death-traps, head first, into a wheat field somewhere in the French country-side :D

That's not a wheat field, but a concrete slap with some wheat field paintings on the outside ... :D

My files look like this. Reinstalled and they still look the same as before. Do I need to have a specific program installed to make them work? upload_2024-2-6_22-9-11.png

    Yes . . . rFactor 2 :D
You don't actually 'install' them, just place them in the folder that is created by rFactor when you click on 'customise' > 'create new folder'.
I'm actually just about to have my dinner, so give me half-an-hour and I'll get back to you.
But in the meantime, can I ask if you are experienced with using skins and it's a problem with this particular pack?

Did put them in the right folders so they should all work.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem as you Maddie. Tbh I don't really mind too much, just so long as I can still race ok!

Should I have dds. and json. files in the folder as well or just the .mas files?

So the F1_1930's mod has been installed and works fine using the default cars?

And to install the skins for the particular car you have decided to use, you:
have clicked on 'Customise' > then clicked on the 'big red + sign' at the top of the page > then clicked on 'Create new skin folder' > then gone to the folder created by rFactor in 'Steam library / steamapps / common / rFactor2 / UserData / player / Settings / F1_1930's /
and in the folder created there by Steam for that particular car, you have copy/pasted the Mas files for that particular car?

And the Mas files are yellow squares with the number 2?

    And it doesn't work?

From your photo it does look like you have done all of the above. I'm presuming the loose files in your photo are the ones created by Steam when you did click on customise etc. etc.
Everything looks right except the Mas files don't look like Mas files :(
Did you download the skins folder a second time?

Just the Mas files should be enough, but they should look like Mas files.
