did a change of tack this week & did my spins before the pitstop, made it a better race for me as it meant I could do some overtakes.
got off the line well, gained 2 places by turn 2. Flaviu braked earlier than I expected into turn 4 & I tagged him, Luckily he controlled it well & didn't loose any places, unfortunately I lost the 2 I gained at the start.
spun on lap 2 @ turn 1 as I had to brake on the turn in order not to tag Nigel which put me in last place.
    Lap 6 passed David @ turn 5. Lap 6 passed Larry @ turn 1, Lap 10 passed Ken @ turn 9
Lap 14 spun @ turn 6, had to pit to repair damage, that put me back to 13th & a lap down on all but David. thought that would be where I would finish,
    Lap 18 passed Ken @ turn 9, Lap 21 passed Larry @ turn 5
Lap 24 spun @ turn 2, hit by Carlos, hope I didn't spoil his race, was intending to let him pass after turn 3
Lap 30 passed Ricardo on the back straight, he must have had damage as he was slow.
Lap 32 Roger spun @ turn 4, Lap 42 unlapped myself from Murilo @ turn 9
Somehow managed to finish in 7th:)

Hmm....strange I don't remember any of that, but maybe it was because I didn't run this race?? :D

A 30 day race ban has been issued to Carlos Popo for intentionally wrecking another driver. Race results for Round 6 have also been disqualified, although we will allow the track record to stand. The ban is in effect from 10/01/2017 thru 10/30/2017. Wrecking another driver is seriously bad sportsmanship no matter what the circumstances are. SRO runs a clean site and we expect all drivers to respect one another in all situations. Intentional wrecking or other acts of bad sportsmanship can result in a race ban.

It was a very good race (first half) for me. Good start (sorry @Rob Milliken for start line confusion), and a very intense first half of race with @Csaba Lako and @Barrett Erickson. I was one with my car :D (rarely happen) and after pit stop the fate strike again . ONE bloody fly in the middle of my screen . And guys, I couldn't focus my eyes on anything else, but only that friking fly. One hand on wheel, another searching a t-shirt to HIT HARD that #%&*#@$% fly. Of course, I spun in T1, lost my place and my concentration. So, last half of race was just a surviving fight to the checkered flag. Good race @Rob Milliken , it was a pretty good day for FKR :). Congratulation @John vd Geest and podium.

just watched the incident, Carlos did not have any reason to feel aggrieved, as he cut across into John & should have made a protest after the race for the officials to make a decision

The only way I can explain it is that Carlos thought he was still far enough in front of me to cut across and block me. An error of judgement.
    After that his temper exploded.

In my early years of racing, I also had my moments of rage (although I never wrecked people). Carlos should realize that it's a game and that it should give you fun playing it. And in playing games, you have winning and loosing. I have lost plenty of races and I've learned to smile about it. Wouldn't it be absolutely boring for you and others if you won every race?
Winning a online race doesn't make you a better person, you don't get the keys to the city, there is no fanfare outside your doorstep, the sun doesn't shine brighter, you don't become prettier and it doesn't last ... It's not worth raging over. It's just a lot of fun :).

At Mills, myself and Flaviu had an accident.
I tought the blame was mine, he tought the blame was his.
We talked after the race... only to realize we both did a drive through...

That by itself is a beautiful thing

Man what a race ! this series is so intense ! It's not for the feint of heart that's for sure ....

The start was one of the best ones yet ! I believe we all got off in one piece ! DTM R6 1.jpg
Team Atlantic made a bid for 1 & 2 But Ricardo managed to hold 2nd
    DTM R6 2.jpg
As the tires heated up drivers started making some moves DTM R6 3.jpg
I was able to hang in the top 5 for most of the race... I was 4th behind JVDG who was now in 3rd after Murlios drive threw & pressuring Ricardo for 2nd but the 2 of them were slowly getting away from me as I was slightly off pace .. DTM R6 4.jpg
Good to see my team mate Flaviu finish 4th behind Csaba .. They had a nice battle ! DTM R6 5.jpg Great race guys ! aside from the mishaps of one of the drivers it was a Job well done to all !

    Congrats to John on the win ! & Barrett & Csaba for 2nd & 3rd !

I see some new entry for round 7 !! looks like Pinnacle MS has join the fight ! welcome guys !

Next round we will have DRS & the 2013 car !

in the next series how about instead of having a compulsory pit stop keeping the compulsory 4 tire change at each pit stop, increasing the tire wear to 3x (tried a 55 min race against AI's at 2x & still had about 10% left on the left front) this will still mean everyone would still have to make at least 1 pit stop, those that really abuse their tires may have to pit twice, this would bring an element of tire management into the races, & may help to bring we slower drivers closer to the lead cars ( 1 or 2 laps down instead of 3 or 4)

is there anyway to test a skin without having to put it in the .mas file?

That's an option for sure ! This series is simply following the real DTM rules as far as we can in the game anyway ;-)
    https://www.dtm.com/en/regulations/sporting-regulations

For the skins , I dont know alot about it , Auto download is ON on the server as long as you use proper format your skin will be uploaded to the server when you join like "skin name Alt_dds" works for me you need to put it in one of the default team folders and then that's where you will find it in game .. but i don't know about skins & .mas files ..
