Before starting a new series, I would like to know if there is any interest for it by posting a pole. The mod is based on the legendary Grand Prix Legends with all the different cars from that year. All cars drive with their own characteristics and have their own engine sound ! The cars are very well done and the driving comes pretty close to the original GPL game. And ... now it looks far better and it even has the original drivers helmets Note: this is NOT a league edition! Some cars are slower then others but more stable. You have to test what you like. Driving tip: lift your foot from the accelerator a bit before UP shifting, or you will stress the engine. Please vote above. The mod is: F1 Classic 1967 Download: http://www.mediafire.com/file/piub6z88gn16p3o/F1_Classic_1967_v1.4_by_Bazza.rar (read the "read me" inside. Yeah seen this mod and looks great, certainly would race it but not sure what numbers you would get as people seem to like "easy" stuff these days.
I'll be away for a few months so... Maybe my brother .. he's already in the rF2 1979 series, he likes this old beasts!
BTW, this VR is AWESOME I do wonder if one can adjust seat position (i was told we can't adjust FOV)...
Correct, they are not easy to drive. But I think that's one of the charmes of the mod. After all, we ARE sim-racers LOL. We'll go for the petrolheads then . I also think that for less experienced drivers, it will teach them more carcontrol.
You can find most of those tracks on RaceDepartment. Monza 10K is a Kunos track. The Oesterreichring you can download here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/bcbu3eerh2x9tab/oesterreichring1979.rar
@John vd Geest I saw some reviews today for version 2 of this mod: which is supposed to be released today sometime, and I was going to suggest doing a series with it because I'd love to... Seems you're way ahead of me (just like on-track ) Could maybe try the poll again? You've got one more vote here at least
Thanks for the heads up. There are other series comming up like the second Endurance series and ACC, but I'll keep it in the back of my mind. But the pole was a long time ago and there are quite a few more members now, so it's worth a second try Have tried it? How does it drive? So you need the Ferrari pack for the 1967 Ferrari. It's 40% off right now for only € 4,19.
I haven’t tried it yet. Still wasn’t available last time I checked but the reviews are good. I already have the 67 Ferrari and have had fun with that in the past.
v2.0 is now released (there is a link in the youtube posting of the first video in this thread) ... and I like it, I like it A LOT
I've tried the mod and I also think it's very good. There's only 1 problem. Maybe it's to difficult for most people to drive to do a series. A series would only be fore the classic car lovers and die-hard drivers that can control them for 60 minutes. If I could get enough people, I would love to do a series with the 60's tracks. Also, you need to have the Ferrari pack for the Ferrari 67. Very cheap right now, like € 4,- I've opent the pole again. Lets see what happens.
