    NO SHOWS

Daniel Iordache has been removed from the series as a no-show.
If he forgot about the race, he can sign back up again.

Fun but some points very frustrating race
When joining the server I was already late and my sim pedals decided to broke up temporarily just before the race so had to restart the game few times.
At the start it looked like I was one of the only drivers to take the slicks. I fell quite far behind from the leaders but saved a hell of a lot of fuel.
While other drivers had to make a pit stop to change their tires to slicks, I got to the top, where I stayed quite long time.
I didn't know the weather forecast, so stayed on the track for as long as I could, and then came to the pits for my only stop, to refuel and change rain tires... ...but it all went wrong because I accidentally took the slicks again...
Still not knowing the weather forecast, I drove for 20 minutes in the pouring rain hoping the rain would stop, losing 6-8seconds/lap, at the end, with about ~20 minutes left, accidentally spun right into the pit lane and went to pick up new rain tires. I'm proud of the fact that even though I ran half the race on a wet track with slicks, I only spun once. :)
At the end I got a couple of places back, but all in all this race was a big "what if". This version of Silverstone is really nice to drive and always brings exciting, good racing.

Congrats winner, thanks for hosting & see you at the next race

You looked awesome in the slicks on broadcast. Only warrior left, rest got scared and pitted for tyres :D

Worst race I think I've ever done, was effectively out before I'd even crossed the start line. I am now wondering that due to my crap Internet connection my car maybe is causing problems for other drivers in that at times people just can't see it. Possibly lag issues are causing it to jump around a bit and then randomly disappear and then reappear. From my perspective when driving everything seems fine, the replay and also Robs broadcast didn't show anything much happening so I'm not sure.
Maybe if anyone following me noticed anything weird going on with my car they could let let me know. I think JVG was following me at time of the start pile up which ultimately ended his race, be nice to hear his take on what happened.

I did see your car phase through another on the broadcast.

Session timing has nice features to check race, laps, consistency, wear, fuel, fuel at finishline, sector times, fastest laps and so on...just noticed.

I didn't see you blinking. I saw that the cars ahead of me were slowing down even though Nick already crossed the startline. So I also had to slow down and promptly got destroyed by cars coming up behind me. This is the second race in a row that I"ve been taken out at the start.

Not that it mattered I came in for my 2nd stop and it coincided with the rain. My fingers chose to change from slicks to wets yet it never happened. I had to come in again to get the rain lyres and was 3 laps down. I had zero grip and I obviously have no idea how to do a rain set up. I finished but was bored to no end skidding around. I am sure I do not like rain. To make matters worst I was wearing the wrong glasses which explained why everything was fuzzy. I thought it was the spray. LOL

Don't worry, the rest of the series will be dry.

What rear wing did the Porsche drivers end up running with? Felt like it just made the car more oversteery but in hindsight probably should have ran higher than 6 for the wet parts of the race.

You do select tyres before entering pits?

maybe we should change the start procedure for rolling starts so the race goes live on exit of final corner (with no overtaking until each car exits final corner) rather than start line so we don't end up with this issue again as me maintaining 120k until I reach the start line seems to cause congestion mid pack and the stragglers at the back aren't ready for it, although the spray in the sunlight probably didn't help.

I started on slicks. I was betting on the track drying up sooner than it did but lost that bet. I managed the tires until it started raining and changed to wet tires and then wore those out quick and had to pit again. It was a very interesting race. It was difficult to determine when the race actually started because it was so hard to see the cars ahead.

    I ran with 12.

That's too bad. Rain makes it more challenging. I think the way you set this race was really fun. Thanks John and thanks to Rob for another great broadcast.

    Something to think about.
I do raise my eyebrows to the fact that some people in the back slam down the throttle eventhough they can't see what's happening in front of them due to the spray. That would be reason for caution.

I always prefer the excitement and simplicity of a standing start.

I couldn't see anything at the start so I backed up significantly to avoid collisions. In the rain, such fast rolling starts can sometimes be even more dangerous than standing starts.

Might also help for the race to go green at the final corner whenever the leader accelerates, instead of the start/finish line. The bunching up on the straight and braking/accelerating leads to crashes.

Okay, we will try that for the remaining events.
