Oh, and congrats to Nick on the championship! I've just realised you've now mathematically sealed it.

Hiya, yeah I think it's a combination of things. Firstly I do need more time in the car (I haven't done any back to back runs against the others but historically the Mazda would be the slowest car here in most cases but I just like Mazda's anyway!) Secondly I need to sort my driving style out. Most of the time I brake slightly early and then balance the car through the corner on the throttle, it just won't work with these cars (not for me anyway), if I get on the power the car understeers, back off, it understeers some more and takes forever to come back online so I can make the corner. If I take the "by the rules" approach of slow in fast out it works much much better. However I'm still losing seconds per lap because I can't get on the power as early as I would like. My issue not the mod as all you guys are fine so I know it's me!

Yes I found you could take the right kerb on the exit of the Bus Stop and that worked quite well lap time wise, too much though and I very nearly ended up in the ARMCO lol.

I'm curious to try these cars on an official S397 track because I'm wondering if these track conversions just have a very rough mesh. Not complaining just commenting. There are certain areas of these tracks that are just painful. I feel for you Direct Drive users. I hope you have some forearms left!

The F1 1988 tracks are well made. It's the Group C cars that are very bouncy because of their stiffness. If you try any of the F1 1988 tracks with a modern car, you won't have any problems and hardly notice the bumps.

No problem, I was going to try it out of curiosity more than anything. Fair enough :)

Grats Nick and to the podium. Fun race in the first stint. Good battles with John and then Kostas, second stint ended up being a lonely race, thought I could maybe pass Johnny after the pit stops but used to much fuel trying to get on his tail, ended up settling for 4th and going back to fuel saving mode.

On to the next one

Brilliant broadcast @Rob Milliken as always.

Congrats Nick on the Championship and win. After a first lap incident The car just was more than I was willing to put up with. The pit crew didn't fix the damage so I retired the car after 2 laps. I received a nice apology so all is well for the next round in Mexico.
