No broadcast for the last round.

Unfortunately, Rob Milliken has other stuff to take care of on Sunday, so he won't be able to broadcast.

I could broadcast, but you wouldn't get commentary :)

    Drivers briefing

    1. Rob Milliken can't make it, so there will be no broadcast from him this last round.

    2. Mexico 1988 Conditions
    1) The race will start at 02:00 PM (in-game time of course).
    2) Time acceleration = Normal. Fuel = normal / Tires = normal
    3) Cut Track points are set to 6
    4) 100% damage
    5) Race weather = 100% Dry.
    6) Qualification is set to "private". That means that you will be alone on track so you can put in your best time without traffic (point 3 qual rule still applies).
    7) YOU HAVE TO USE THE SAME CAR THROUGHOUT THE SERIES THAT YOU CHOOSE FOR YOUR FIRST EVENT.

    HOW WE START THE RACE

    1. The pole sitter leads the Formation Lap at approximately 120 km/h.
    2. The Formation Lap is done in single file.
    3. When the Pole Sitter
EXITS the last corner, the race STARTS. You can build up speed in the last corner.
    4. You can not overtake anyone BEFORE you exit the last corner.

    3. The use of the Esc. key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
    - You run out of fuel in the pit lane before reaching your pit stall.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

    4. You can find the password for the race server on the Mexico event page.

    5. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

    6. Please use the
SAME NAME in the rFactor 2 game as on our SRO signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

You can change your name in the rFactor 2 "Profile" menu.

    7. If you plan to PROTEST another driver, you have to wait 24 hours counting from the end of the race.

Any protest filed before that time will be viewed as not received. You can find the rules about submitting a protest here.

    8. You can find the server by typing SRO or the track name. Add the server to your favorites so you can always find it.
If you can't find the server in the rFactor 2 server list, you can access this way:
    1. click on this link: https://simracepackages.lima-city.de/rF2server/
    2. scroll down to "SRO" (it's alphabetical)
    3. choose the correct server and Join with the password (see point 4 above)
    4. the server will start automatically and will take you to the event

Is it just me or is half the circuit just 2nd gear corners (the esses)?

Can't make tonight's race. Have fun and good luck to everyone.
(And if you haven't seen it already, I highly recommend watching today's Championship deciding F3 race - an absolute cracker of a race :))

Didn't have the setup today and the car was all over the place so it was really difficult to get any pace out of it. Congrats to Toni on the win.

Honestly glad the series is over. Was fun whilst it lasted but there were a few issues with the mod and the fuel management was a bit too much. Thanks to the admin for organising it though.

Good fun everyone. Grats to Toni. Fast to the point I didn't even see him once haha. Grats to Nick for the Championship. That's good stuff Nick.

Had fun with Robin in this race. Good times. I hope everyone had fun.

    Cheers!

Why don't you join us in the WEC series? You only have to buy 1 car and can download the rest for free.

Thanks @Johnny Gutierrez. Have to admit i practiced for this one. Car has no turbo, consumes more fuel which hurts a "little" at pitstop so wanted so bad to win this final round.

Q Actually wanted the pole too so badly that was very disappointed in 3rd spot.

R At 1st seemed P1 and P2 gonna cruise into distance but somehow i just hang in there. Engine on minimum, revs on minimum and still it takes so much fuel...
Watched earlier those Porsches go 340 even on main straight, i got barely 320 in race ( 330 in Q mode ) and had no wings, no nothing so this win feels very good.
Had one slip so in teh zone for 92 minutes then.

So satisfying car. My favourite of all cars in sim mods is the AC Mazda but this is was very close and comfortable and i do like this layout of Mexico. Allways do ok i think.

    Cheers!

well done Toni, there was nothing left in that Porsche of mine, had a good setup and drove every lap like a qualifying lap but it was not enough, good workout tho.

Decided to do something different this time and try a two stop strategy for once as knew the softs would not last 45 mins and did not fancy battling again on the hards, was just ahead of toni for the first stop but at the second stop came out 16 seconds behind so knew it would be tough, had to battle with maddie for a lap or two which did not help but managed to get the gap down to 3-4 seconds to toni before my softs were passed their best, made one mistake in the ultra tight right hander when I got cramp in my left foot but other than that a faultless race, had to go into aggressive fuel save with 10 mins to go to get to the end, crossed the line with 0.5l in the tank.

Thanks john for such a great championship, hope you have more luck in the next one, and thanks as always to my team mate Robin Taylor, another championship for Black Cat Motorsports!

Maybe. Don't enjoy modern cars as much.

The cars are half of it. The other half is the buzz that you get from an event. And this series will have all that.
We need some more GT3's in the field to top it up to 32 drivers. Rob will also broadcast. Let's go alien!!!
