Hi, I want to try the track also but it shows "PROBLEMS DURING CHECKSUM" when I try to join online and when I try offline the race track starts to load briefly and then it goes back to the game screen. I never had that track and I downloaded the file (206MB) 2 times now but I can't get it started :(

It looks like our server has a newer version of the track which our DL Resources hadn't been updated to. I've now done that so please uninstall the track and re-download/install again. All should then be OK.

It is working now, but the links in the championship event page are still the old ones. In the downloads section is the working v.1.3.7

I knew that it is tight between 21 and 22 laps, but did expect that it would be about 2-3 sec that decide to go one more. I really thought the race was finished with 21 laps. Even though I had a bit more fuel than 21 laps, I underestimated how slow you need to drive to save a liter in one lap. So that cost me P6.

Anyway, was still fun to drive here.

To give a bit of an impression, I made a short highlight video including what happened at the front. It seems were I was lucky not to crash in an incident with cold tyres involved, others did not have the some amount of luck.

    Race 4
    Practice:
The track is a very technical one with some big undulations. The first laps I did weren't that great, but I felt there was a lot of time to find. So tinkered with the setup to make sure the tires would last and overheating was under control. My best offline lap was a 2.06.3, but that would make the race 22 laps and at that speed only 21 laps could be done on 55L fuel. That gave me a bit of a dilemma as I had no idea how fast the other driver were going to be. So I made up a plan "A" and plan "B".
When I got in the practice server Kiril was showing some very good lap times in the low grip the track was at that time. Still, no stress as I could match the times.

    Qualifying:
Here I had 1 goal, and 1 goal only. Get Pole. Since we could only do 4 flying laps I decided not to do a "banker lap" and go straight to as fast as the car would go. First flying lap was already a good one. 2.06.5 I had to slow down on the next lap as I got to close to the car in front of me. Then I went all out again. Had a near perfect first 2 sectors going for a delta of 2.06.3. But then on that lap I turned into the last corner a bit to fast. The back stepped out a bit making the car skid on all 4 wheels. Oddly enough that gained me 0.2sec... That gave me an incredible pole time. 2.06.05...

    Race:
The strategy I had in mind was to go as fast as possible on the first 5 or 6 laps trying to create a gap to 2nd. Then go in fuel save mode figuring that if Kiril would catch up to me somewhere before the end of the race he would have used to much fuel and would have to pit.
Anyway, the start was good. Kiril had a good start too with us accelerating at a similar pace. As I had practiced 1st laps a good number of times in practice I knew the trick to not losing time was to keep the car from skidding on the cold tires. Worked like a charm and had a gap of 1.8 sec after the 1st lap. The next few laps I slowly pulled away from Kiril with the gap going up to 5 seconds. That gap we maintained for the next few laps. Then I came up to the 1st backmarker. Going into the twisty bits Ed's car suddenly started skidding. No way to avoid him and despite the touch not being that hard my car spun off and crashed into the barrier. :( Unfortunate... By the time I recovered Kiril had passed me and was about 8 seconds ahead. As I never give up I started the chase throwing "plan A" out the window and go for plan C. I started closing in on Kiril as he was clearly conserving fuel. Anyway, on the penultimate lap I caught up to him and made the pass. It was clear I would have to pit for a splash and dash and was hoping Kiril had to do that too. Turned into the pit and for some reason still not clear ( most likely due to the damage from the crash earlier) to me the wheel locked up making the car spin in the pit. took me 10 seconds to recover from that. Driving into my pitbox I saw Kiril in his box. At that time the race was run as he left way ahead of me. Kiril 1st, me 2nd, Philip 3rd I believe.
I was "lucky" to still have gotten 2nd. But then again, this result opens up the championship again.

Onto the next one. Another track I haven't raced before.
