    Correct, its still in "early release" and lots or regular features are still not activated like replays and the DED.
    They are moving along at a steady pace so it won't be too long & will be worth the wait!

    I've spent very little time with it so far, certainly not enough time to comment on physics or ffb, but it's clear to see that the graphics are an improvement over rF2. And (thankfully) it looks and performs well in VR.
    While the graphics may be better than rF2, unfortunately, they still don't come anywhere close to comparing to Project Cars 2.
    For years now I've been waiting for the sim that will combine graphics as good as PC2's, with physics/ffb as good as rF2's.
    Still waiting.

    @Rob Milliken What's your thoughts on the physics/ffb compared to rF2?

    (Also can't comment on F1 23 as I haven't bothered to download it :) and dare say I'll never get around to commenting on, or caring about it :) (famous last words?:eek:) I was surprised (and slightly horrified) to discover I now have 5 F1 titles!!!! But wasn't too surprised to find that I'd totaled less than 9 hours use between all of them over the last 12 years . . . No further comment needed I guess :D)

    Did a small try out yesterday , must say it was a good impression on me.
    Multi class with a lot off action and AI that was not to bad.
    Use GTE and FB was as good as ACC and RRE in my opinion.
    Eco Gilles about graphics .
    Will try out multiplayer P2 ,Hyper asap .

    For me the physics & FFB are excellent, I'm sure its core is directly derived and built upon from rF2, so it's something I can relate to right away, and to me, it's a step forward in simulation. I haven't spent as much time in the protos as I have in the GTE's & so far I love the Porsche the most!

    The GPX for me are impressive! the lighting is excellent. I do have the horsepower to crank it all the way up & its right up there with PC2 and or AMS2 without the "cartoony" color wash those 2 sims seem to have to me (does not mean I don't like them) I just think LMU's lighting looks more natural .. That said have you not tried AMS2? it's the next closest thing physics wise to rf2 in my book with the nice next-level GPX from the PC2 engine ..

    I've had very little time with it and haven't touched any of the settings yet, so looking forward to cranking up the graphics. I'll be one happy little human if you're right about it approaching PC2 standards.
    Personally I hated the original AMS. It seemed like a poor version of rF1. AMS2 is a whole different thing and is right up there with AC vying to knock rF2 of it throne. Seems like they now have competition from rF2.5

    That is very nice, but my main problem with LMU is the menu-lag. Especially in the garage setup menu.
    Is that solved?

    When was the last time you fired LMU up? I know in my case I never had menu lag but i remember it being talked about and I believe solved a patch or 2 ago ..but I could be wrong ..

    I stand corrected. The menu lag is gone :)
    And the game drives pretty good too.

    Have they done anything with the Driver rating system yet. When you get hit from behind or some other idiot in the online races runs into you, you lose rating :mad:

    This is the fact in all the sim/games attempting to use a rating system. The issue is there is simply no way at this time to determine fault within the game engine / codes .. It's the same for all and the system 'works' to achieve the overall purpose of placing drivers with similar skill levels together for closer racing ..The system works best over time and needs lots of data to achieve the best results. The system rf2 , LMU, and ACC 'with AC' over at LFM is using is almost identical, LFM came up with it and it has proven to work. 397 while working with LFM when they had rF2 in their lineup started using it and made it their own but they are identical in nature. The system comes from competitive chess and ranks you according to the rank of who you beat and if you finish in the top half or bottom half of the field, bottom half you go down, top half you go up, more so if you beat a higher ranked driver.. so you can win a race but if you were the highest ranked driver in the field your rank won't go up as you were supposed to win etc.. ..Finish last or bottom half (as the highest ranked driver) and you lose big numbers ..
    The safety rating which I believe you are referring to in your statement, as much as it seems 'not fair' does indeed work as intended, I was able to reach gold in both rF2 and LMU as well as stay in the 900's at LFM (the highest ranking) by simply being a safe aware driver. Sure you will get hit from behind sometimes and taken out by spinning cars at no fault of yours but over time is where the safety rating becomes mature, the more data/races you do as a fair safe driver the higher your safety rating will go .. Think of it like this if you're on the highway driving along and someone crashes into you, your car is still going to be damaged and you will be paying out whether it be to your to your insurance or not plus the loss of time with your car out of commission the general inconvenience etc your going to suffer and be pissed .. lol .. its not your fault but you still suffer..lol ..

    Driver rank places you with similar skilled drivers, safety rank opens the doors for the advanced /pro races and gets you out of beginners .. its not hard at all to build up your safety ranking ..It took me i think 10 races to get out of bronze (beginners) and around 25 to get to gold ..platinum is the highest in LMU & rF2 ....

    My day one with the September patch!


    Even though the stream is in 1440 it doesn't do it justice.
    Im running in 4k and it looks amazing but you cant see it on the stream ..
