I can't get the car, it downloads but then gives the error "Can not open file" anyone else have trouble to get it?
Its packaged as a Winrar file not winzip. Download and Use 7-Zip to open it or use AC Content Manager https://www.7-zip.org/
I'm going to give this a go and see how I get on. I simply don't race enough on AC and I should because there's a huge amount of excellent content available. I treated myself to a load of RSS Goodies during their last sale so I'll be enjoying those at some point. Only a suggestion (and I know we don't have many takers on this league yet) but there is a 2023 Skin pack on Overtake. Good to have you join the group Andrew and those already running AC here would agree with you wholeheartedly about the content available. There are some excellent skin packs available as you have pointed out Andrew, but in AC multiplayer custom skins are only visible to people who have also installed those same skins/packs. At SRO we can't insist that everyone running in the series must install them. A shame it doesn't work like rF2 via server sharing.
Any idea as to what AI level I need to set to get a good idea of pace for this series? I test, think I’m ok, then I’m last in the race. lol.
I wouldn't use AI as a pace barometer Andrew, you're better looking at the Session Timing option we have on the top of the page. You can of course play with the AI settings to get a feel for competition on any track we will be using, but honestly rF2 AI is not the best due to the age of the ISI engine used.
The Ai seems to be unrealisticly fast in these. In all other cars I drive/test I'm about 1 sec a lap faster than the AI, With this F3 I'm nearly 2 sec slower. But then again, I might just be rubbish in these.
I am a bit confused - your answer is probably still valid as the AI in AC is probably not much better but maybe it the best thing you can rely on, because for AC there are no session times available? Or do I got that wrong?
Well yes that was the thing. Before the previous live timing system was shut down you had the option of different sims, but with the new setup I can only see RF2? Or am I missing something or a link that maybe isn’t showing for me? it doesn’t matter too much, it’s just useful for me to give myself a rough idea of where I am compared to the rest. It’s also useful for just learning a track I’ve never seen before, I ride onboard with the AI for ten laps, learn their lines and gears, etc.
What are you experiencing? Is the download timing out on you? I did have some of this. The download was very slow (more than 30 minutes) then kept stopping or failing. Tried the next day and it downloaded in about 4 minutes! If you have no luck let me know and I’ll upload the file to something like we transfer.com and send you a link.
it doesn't complete the download, it only downloads half of the files, but after several attempts I managed to download it, I hope it still works, I have to install it
I can never download anything from the SRO download page, no idea why. I always have to search for an alternative download link somewhere else.
Which link/page are you trying to DL from Phil? Can you provide an example of a file that you can't DL and any messages or more info?
