Yes at the moment I’m just changing the basic settings, wings, gears, tyre compound. As you say. Lots of options! lol.
Ok, I’m not worried just yet. Tried joining the server from both Content Manager and within the game and I get a Server Handshake Error? The game goes to desktop and a Windows "Window" appears. The game then quits. I’ll delete the entire content folder for the car and reinstall everything again. I have no idea if I’m fast or not. I’m into the low 28’s. AI can do 24/26’s so I’m quite happy so far. I just want a decent finish at this point
but did you ride with medium and 30 liters of fuel? because in these conditions I achieved a high 26, but I wasn't able to repeat it again, today I'll try the soft ones, because I have to understand which compound is best for the race and the fuel to put in for the race

Hiya Firstly, I freely admit that Assetto Corsa is my weakest sim, I haven't raced on it in years. The last "league" I took part in (on here) was the RSS GT1 league and I was hopeless, ten seconds off the pace or more, two races and I was done, lol. Admittedly I'm more experienced now so I'd probably be better but at the time I couldn't deal with the physics in this sim. So that fact that this car is pretty fun to drive is great for me, I don't mind being off the pace a bit as long as I'm enjoying myself. The runs were on the softs, with race fuel. I didn't feel much in the way of degradation in tyre performance. I could run in low 28's for a 12 lap stint with no issues. The car is better under braking too (less nervous). For me anyway. According to the sector splits, I'm on the pace for sectors one and two, but I lose two seconds in sector three. My personal option is I'm losing over a second into the final corner. It's causing me problems, I keep overshooting the corner, or I can't get the car slowed down enough and suffer bad understeer. I'm getting better though so I'm not upset about it. There's a lack of corner markers on this circuit so it's a bit tricky getting the braking points sorted but it's a great circuit, not too technical and also easy to learn when you are new to the car.
I left everything basic and I'm happy with the car, I'm glad you shared some information. yes, it's true, at the beginning I too had trouble with the braking points
Issue has been sorted, I had a different version of the Helicorsa app on my install. Replaced with the version on the SRO downloads section. I can join the server now. Needs to be activated within Content Manager too. I knew it was something simple, I randomly joined about six other non-passworded servers with no issues.
nnt good free practice, bad qualifying, disaster race, after my horrible start I turned around at turn two, I hit the wall hard, even damaging the engine in the rush to restart, ugh
The following did work for me https://simracingonline.co.uk/resources/fuji-speedway.546/ Not sure if that was temporarily
Yes it could be found under downloads. I think the link had a space rather than a dash and that’s why it didn’t work initially.
Nice to join you guys again after such a busy summer. I liked the look of this series as I don't drive Open Wheel much and an interesting selection of tracks that I have never driven. I practiced hard for a few days and really enjoyed myself tonight. For the first time ever (I think) , I didn't crash at all! I drove pretty fast (for me) and more importantly, very consistently. I stayed calm when being lapped which seemed to go fairly smoothly for all concerned. Sod's law that I always seemed to get caught in the complex! It's not easy being lapped at high speed. Great racing up front as ever, thank you lappers for being a little patient - the regulars know me well enough now I think. Plenty of crashing and spins going on made it exciting to watch. Hope to see you in Fuji.
Something I noticed, when I drove behind you, your DRS/Rear Wing was not open on the second straight. Maybe that was don on purpose or thats an area where you could gain another couple of tenth.
