We are looking at a possible test run Friday Dec 20th @ 20:00 GMT using non DLC GTE & LMP2 @ Sebring .. check out simracingonline SimGrid Sim Grid is not mandatory while we test things out but please check it out and register if you can make it! the server will be in the hosted section of LMU MP using our default PW you will also have the PW from SimGrid If you register their.. We need to edit our database on the site before we can have registration for LMU here as of now it's WIP.
I have voted a yes but I would need to do some more testing. I'm not sure, but my PC really struggles with this title, I have to run on low to medium and at 1920 x 1080. Even then at the start I'm dropping to about 15 FPS which is almost undriveable. On all other sims, I'm in the 90's FPS and can run at 4k at high or ultra settings. I'm not sure if it's the details on the cars or the models at the track being super detailed but it does puzzle me. Even on ACC I can run in 4k at high levels and it's ok. My only weak link is possibly the 2090 graphics card but I have 32GB RAM and an i9 Processor so otherwise I'm ok. A shame as I'm a huge sportscar/endurance racing fan.
Ya LMU is a heavy load for sure, lots of psyx calc's , brings most mid to high last gen systems to their knees .. Im on a 4090 and it runs great in 4k & have not had any issues .. but lots of players in the same boat as you right now ..
That sounds a bit weird! I dont see that much different FPS wise cmpared to ACC and LMU on RTX3080 on 1440p triples!. Ram doesnt have any real affect, your i9 should be ok.. If this is only a test, with no promotion... why not run a single class? You will feature it on the front page here?
Yes .. that was my first thought .. what class would you guys like to try first? (nothing is set in stone) I figured we will have low numbers so GTE or LMP2 or LMh ? My first choice would be GTE . then GT3's but that's all DLC except the Mclaren ....
John aren't you already a member? you signed up at SimGrid for the AMS2 events ..so maybe you just need to log into SimGrid first then register? If you can't get it sorted you can still race as SG is not mandatory ..its all just a test.. The SRO lobby will be up within the game under the "HOSTED EVENTS" & you will have the PW as its default sro pw ..
I vote for the GTE single class as well. I don't have the GT3. Only buying that when we actually have an official series going on, not for testing. I do have DLC 1 and 2.
Sorry for the hassle, Rob. I logged out and signed in again via Steam and now it works. So it was on my end I'm registered now for GTE.
