Well, no lag but we did have the start glitch. It's a timing issue where we are all out of sync, once that settled the game ran well for me however I got the DT lol. The drive-through set me back so I just started hanging back to jump in behind ppl to check lag & pings ..all seemed fine ..

In all the beta testing I have done over the last 6-7 months we never had that start glitch although it was around when AMS2 first launched .. It Could have been from switching hosts during the session (from Ken to Toni) or maybe it was hosts connection over wifi? who knows but its a rare issue we have not seen for a while ..

It's great we have a good group to test with ..One more test on Wed and this time we will be testing the FWD MINI's at Oulton park classic! nice & tight .. (unless the pitchforks come out)

Look for more tests over the Holidays keeping in mind no action for Xmass day.

I had a couple of freezes of 0.5-1.5secs during the Practice session which ultimately put me off the track and the reminded me of issues I've had over several years with rF2 when having record replays set to ON. Turning them off in rF2 fixed the freezes generally, but there is no way to do that in AMS2. I left the server and when rejoined in time for Qual, I didn't have any other problems of that nature.

On the Grid at the start, but before the Green Lights, I saw both cars of Toni and Phil ahead of me apparently starting early, but in a weird way, with their cars showing as quickly flashing images, jumping ahead a bit but then settling down for the start proper. Not sure what they saw visually from their viewpoint in the car? Other than that and my own mistakes everything else ran smoothly for me.

Mini challenge, testing the FWD's

 

It was a fun race in the Mini's! Thanks for showing up, everyone! The game ran great on my end. I was slow but not steady . I got a new DD wheel & load cell peddles, and this was the first race with them, so it was more exploration than racing for me as I came to grips with what settings I need for the different sims and cars! It felt fantastic so far, but it's like I need to learn how to drive all over again, lol.
Friday is the first LMU test (if all goes well attaining the server for the day) ! Then, look for some more holiday events with AMS2!
Any suggestions on what to race next for AMS2?
