    WELCOME TO THE PRE-SEASON INDYCAR DALLARA IR 18 TEST EVENT AT INDIANAPOLIS GP

    This event is a pre-season test for the Indycar Dallara IR18 2025 Championship.
    In this test-event, you can test the car, learn how to work the P2P and gain experience on where to use it.
    You can also learn about the tyres and how to approach the whole race over 90 minutes.

    Test event date: Sunday December 29
    Qual: 20:00 GMT 15 minutes private
    Test Race: 20:20 GMT
    Duraction: 93 minutes, including a formationlap
    Formation lap: yes
    Start type: Rolling coming out of the last corner
    Points awarded: no
    Affects rank: no

    100% defeats the purpose of the tyre rule. The intent of the rule is to expand on the available strategy options by forcing cars to run on two different compounds in any manner they see fit.

    The start on red and then go to blacks is eliminating strategy by forcing everyone on the same strategy. It would be more in the spirit of the rule to have no rule.

    To make it easier for me to check if everybody uses both alternates and primaries, I thought of letting everybody start on alternates and than primaries. Otherwise I have to police everybody each race. I'm all for "no tyre rules". That makes it even easier for me :)

    Rf2la livetiming might do compounds.

    Not my info I asked a league we ran in two tear ago. The software he used is no longer available.

    Ok this might give me a chance to try the car out but having done some laps at midohio and LAguna, its a bit mental! But thats just running default setups. Hard to describe but felt strange when the car slid... maybe FFB i guess.

    TYRE RULE FOR THIS SERIES IS CANCELLED

    The tyre rule for this series is calcelled.
    You do not have to start on the alternates and change to primaries after. You are now free to take any compound at any time.

    Not sure of the right place to post... can someone help with FFB settings.... I can only describe it as though there is too much damping with almost no centering force around the longer corners.

    Its a DD wheel, Moza R12.
    Even turning off all the settings in the Moza pithouse software dont really help make Rf2 feel good.

    Thanks to everybody who participated in this test event. I'm sure we all learned something from it for the main events.
    We did a full 90 minutes race distance to simulate best the race conditions for the main events.

    Certainly learning that rf2 isnt for me! but was enjoyable for some moments though. Just seem to have no feel for the tyres and the car sliding.

    Random question, Nick was the only one in the listing that had green tick against him, though it would disappear and come back a lot... any idea what this might be?
