The reason to the group choice is to make it easier choosing the correct group when setting up AI for racing.
So for instance you only want Le mans liveries, you could do so. But maybe its not important to do so, when there "almost" aren't other grp5 cars at the moment.
As a solution, I have tried switching groups around to have "grp5" last but doesnt make a difference.

I do see your points and didnt know it would cause that problem.
    Let me think about it.

After watching the race last night, I have some things I want to change, if I can figure it out.
    • add fuel strategy options (implemented in test environment - but have to test it)
    • add more draft (to give car behind more benefit)
    • add more enginelife from 8280 sec to....? but still keep rpm wear rate multipler at 7920rpm
    • add setup-adjustable rpm limit
    • increase tire wear rate

Is it ok with you guys or anything better left as it is?

I think you're spot on, Great ideas.
I don't mind any changes, we have 2 weeks until round 2 .. But Ken is the admin for this series so it's his call. ;)

Ken, do you know if its the class "LM82" or the category "Le Mans 82" that messes with the grid order?
because I tried to change the classes to only be GRP5_P935 and keeping the categories but in game the show up "categorized"

    Hi Thomas,

All good changes i think. But bear in mind we were probably running different boost levels at various times (i know i was). so the race might not be a good judge of the over-all effectiveness of the draft.

You might also consider a couple things that i noticed while working on a setup (if it's not that way IRL,that is): the non-adjustable 2nd gear (others have a click or two), and the front toe adjustment not allowing a "0" or "+" setting (i really wanted to test some positive toe to see if it helped stabilize the car in the brake zones. If that's just true to the 935, no problem.

The cars were bit of a challenge to get used to, after mostly running modern GT3's :), but fun to drive once you do.

I don't to be honest, as rF2 decided that based on it's own logic. Are you familiar with simresults.net? If so I can provide you with both the Qualifying & Race results files which among other things show the car classes/category's.

No I dont know about simresults.net but I can give it a try to see if I can make any sense of it.

    @Barrett Erickson
About draft, I haven't thought much about until your race and the setting was 1.0, I tested it with 1.9 and it seems more realistic. but its up to you if you want it introduced within your race event.

About 2nd gear, I haven't found any historic facts about this 2nd gear having multiple options so until further I want it kept that way.

I cant see any problems adding positive toe option to the setup, since I think that would have been a viable option back then, I just haven't thought about that.

If you feel that is more realistic from your information/data, then go ahead and make the change.
