I'm curious about how to improve the clarity in the distant view. I'll attempt to enhance the video display, which might resolve the issue. If anyone is practicing, please take a screenshot of the PC2 performance screen. It's possible that my settings aren't working well together either.
Thank you, Björn! I applied your settings, and the result is fantastic and sharp. I also discovered why I couldn't boost the resolution earlier; the video card software was set to the default size of 1920x1080. I adjusted it to 3840x2160. In the game, I didn't have the option for 3440x1440, so I set it to 3200x1800 instead. I've noticed an improvement in color quality as well.
Make sure to try it in a practice race to ensure your frame rate doesn't cause problems. Bjorn's settings are pretty high so it will depend on your GFX card's capabilities to keep things sweet.
Absolutely! Everything I currently have for gaming is either new or nearly new. I'm pushing its boundaries, and, over the past month, I've been exploring its full potential. Edit, the card exceeds PC2 recommendations.
You are right Doug! I informed Ken to fix it. It is a relic from our last PC2 series, where we tried fixed setups.
If nobody objects, I'd like to jump in for a round or two (or as many as I can manage). Tried the Procar at Imola last night - great fun to drive - but, @Ken Jagger - would you please confirm if the other Group 4 cars, the Ferrari 512 and the Porsche 924 are also available or (as the series title suggests) is car selection restricted to the BMW?
Well, that was short and bitter I was looking forward to what would have been (as far as my feeble memory recollects) my first ever online PC2 race. Great car and one of my all-time favourite circuits. Unfortunately, my lack of PC2 online experience put paid to that. After qually I pressed the wrong button. I saw a sign saying 'waiting' and like an idiot, thought it was waiting for input from me. The only 'button' I could see was 'Return to race central' . . . Shouldn't have pressed it Re-joined (several times), the race hadn't started, but all I could do was spectate. You live . . . and sometimes you learn . . . Boy I'm having a bad week Anyway, hopefully everyone (else) had a lot of fun and hopefully I'll get to join you at Brands
If you'd stuck around another few seconds Gilles and monitored the chat in the joining lobby, I informed everyone that I'd restart the server to get the reace underway, which we did. Sorry you missed out and hope everything goes OK next time. Oh and about pressing the wrong button, there isn't one PC2 player who hasn't done the same!
I had a better race , after making a mess of the Ams 2 race which was still fun, and I didn't have any problems like I did last time which is a good sign. I'm glad that at least Ken managed to reset the server so the guys that lost connection could re-join the server, always a frustrating issue when it arises. Unfortunately after chasing Roman, I was getting nervous because his car was slightly jumping around which is always difficult when your close, then at the tight right hand corner I saw his car go on two wheels and off track , trouble is, at my end there was a gap between us and I didn't touch him. Really frustrating. I figured this is what happened so pulled over but after that just couldn't get back in to rhythm, still enjoyed the car and first part of the race. Thanks to all and see you at the next one
I did not expect anything for this race, had no time to practice, no setup and i dont like the track layout. (the old Österreichring was fantastic!!!) But my race was very enjoyable: I had a 40 min fight with Brian. Cheers mate, i enjoyed every lap. Not dirty tricks, no crowbar, leaving enough space, pure fairness and respect. Thats what i am looking for in racing Grats to Roman, his pace once more from another planet, so weight penalty for you mate, high demand!!!! CU all at:
