Round 3 @ Spa! This round will be the first of the 75 min long races This will force the need for a pit stop or a splash & dash to be able to finish. We will be using the default WEC version of Spa with the exit just past T1. Please Disregard the Pit exit penalty area from the endurance version that was posted earlier. See this post for adding fuel during pit stops >>>>>>Round 3 Spa<<<<<< For this race, the start will be 1 hour later for US & CA drivers due to daylight savings time.
Thanks Rob for that clear explanation. Everyone, please follow this rule for 2 reasons. 1) So you don't get a penalty and 2) to make Rob's life easier. Managing a league and broadcasting takes a lot of time. Having to apply penalties to the results he has to enter and post just adds to that time.
I was just informed that we can avoid this issue if we use the non-endurance layout with the shorter pit lane! There is a smaller number of pit stalls with the shorter version.. But I think it would be enough for us .. More later..
The endurance pit lane is horrendously long! I did lol when talking about track limits at Spa as i find LMU to be especially strict when going through Radillion specifically and seems to beleive your gaining far more than you actually are. I've tried lifting massiviely at times aft the corner hoping the yellow warning changes to green but it will still penalise you
Please Note that we have decided to use the default WEC version NOT the endurance version so we will have the shorter pit out
Important Info for adding fuel at pit stops. Don't get fooled by how LMU's Pit stops deal with fuel.. The number you put in your 'pit stop request' is what you will leave the pits with! Example: If you pit with 3L left in your tank and you think you have it set to add 10L it won't add 10L, it will add 7L to equal 10 when you leave the pits.. Thats how it works with the GTE's in LMU when pitting for fuel .. If you have 3L and want to add 10L, you need to put 13L in the pit menu. This will add 10L to what you already have. Just remember, the number you put in your pit request will be the number you leave the pits with ..
Reminder to any US drivers! Due to daylight savings time already changing in the US, this race will start 1 hour later for US drivers! The following rounds (in 2 weeks +) have been adjusted to 19:30 race starts. The EU switches over to DST in 1 week so we will all be on the same page again ..
Which is a great method when planning out your stops over a race, if you just run it down each stint but as i found in the GTE/LMP2 silver races its a nightmare when your trying to do it on the fly, after damage while still carrying a level of fuel! Sometimes it would be easier if it was 'fuel to add'
I've unregistered from this event as I won't be able to participate I'm in the midst of switching rigs and there's no way I'll have everything fitted in time for tonight's race Have fun everyone and good luck to all.
Good luck, I've held off modifying my brake pedal stiffness until after this race lol. I've liked a soft pedal/ greater movement but I am naturally pushing harder than its set to now.
LOL, I didn't think Canada had DST! My bad... (i fixed it) Out of curiosity when does yours change? is it the same as in the US? There are only like 3 or 4 drivers from the US & thats why I don't change the start times until EU changes over ..
