    General tip:

The car starts on cold tires, so you need a full lap before you can start pushing. So be careful on lap 1. After that it's rock and roll :)

There are no tyre warmers. The tyres are cold on the first lap and have little grip. You can start pushing on the second lap.

Does that mean you need to launch it everytime via content manager or just load it once?

    Just once when selected.
The server has the same custom track skin.

dekon turbo 2.18.6 ( non turbo 2.20.6 ) best but constantly doing 2.19.4-6. Endurance tyres, 60 liters. very close to default, just softened little:

    - If struggle with braking, take this one, turns easy and look good on stream with long controllable power slides on very fast corners so its pretty balanced.
    - negatives...have to live on the narrow rpm range of power -> gives extra wheelspin specially on exits -> over heat tyres easily.

    SHALL WE CHANGE THE MOD?

Who would mind if we changed the mod to something more successful: Formula RSS 1979 V8
It's a free car from Race Sim Studio.

I don't mind either way, the RSS 79 is very good so I'm happy to change. But I also liked the GTX mod and think it would make for a better championship. But obviously the bigger grid the better.

Yeah, at the moment we are at 8 drivers, not including Neil Wood. So, the GTX mod is not working to fill the grid. I can't do a broadcast with only 8 drivers.

I have some cool tracks for the F1 1979 mod, so I think it will work.

I will take every RSS-mod over every other AC-mod. And I was really skeptical that there would be such big differences between the cars again. Although a colorful grid with different cars looks good, the time difference, sometimes several seconds per lap, was far too big for my liking.

Seeing as the majority agrees, I will go ahead and change the series to the RSS Formula 1979 V8 Championship. Thanks.

The series has now been changed to RSS Formula 1979 V8.
The test will go ahead tomorrow as planned at Black Cat County. Downloads can be found here.

A new Formula 1979 Forum will be up shortly.
