WELCOME TO ROUND 2 BUDDH INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT

    Buddh International Circuit
The Buddh International Circuit is an Indian motor racing circuit situated in Jaypee Sports City, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The track shares its name with Gautama Buddha, as does the district of its location. The track was officially inaugurated on 18 October 2011.

The 5.125 km (3.185 mi) long circuit was designed by German racetrack designer Hermann Tilke. The circuit is best known as the venue for the annual Formula One Indian Grand Prix, which was first hosted in October 2011. However, the Grand Prix was suspended for 2014 and subsequently cancelled due to a tax dispute with the Government of Uttar Pradesh during the Akhilesh Yadav administration.

    1. All 6 events of this series will be broadcast
    Broadcaster: Rob Milliken
    [IMG]

    2. Buddh Conditions
    1) The race will start at 02:00 PM (in-game time of course)
    2) Time acceleration is normal. Fuel = normal
    3) Cut Track points are set to 6
    4) 100% damage
    5) This event has a formation lap
    a. the formation lap is done in single file
    b. when the LMP2 poll sitter exits the last corner, the race starts for LMP2. When the GTE poll sitter exits the last corner, the race starts GTE.
    c. you may not overtake until you exit the last corner yourself

    6) This is a dry race
    7) Qualification is set to "private". That means that you will be alone on track so you can put in your best time without traffic (point 3 qual rule still applies).
    8) See the "DISCO PROCEDURE" 1 post below.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU HAVE A HEADSET CONNECTED TO TEAM SPEAK, WITH OUR WITHOUT A MIC.
WHILE ON THE SERVER, WE WILL ALL GO TO THE "RFACTOR2" ROOM ON TEAM SPEAK FOR THE RACE BRIEFING DURING WARMUP TO RECEIVE INSTRUCTIONS.

    3. The use of the Esc. key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
    1. You run out of fuel in pit lane before reaching your pit stall.
    2. You sustain damage to your car as a result of another driver and cannot make it back to your pit stall. You must prove your qualifying session was wrecked by another driver and that you made an attempt to return to pit lane.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

    4. You can find the password for the race server on the Buddh event page.

    5. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

    6. Please use the
SAME NAME in the rFactor 2 game as on our SRO signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

You can change your name in the rFactor 2 "Profile" menu.

    7. If you plan to PROTEST another driver, you have to wait 24 hours counting from the end of the race.

Any protest filed before that time will be viewed as not received. You can find the rules about submitting a protest here.

    8. You can find the server by typing SRO or the track name. Add the server to your favorites so you can always find it.
If you can't find the server in the rFactor 2 server list, you can access this way:
    1. click on this link: https://simracepackages.lima-city.de/rF2server/
    2. scroll down to "SRO" (it's alphabetical)
    3. choose the correct server and Join with the password (see point 4 above)
    4. the server will start automatically and will take you to the event

    Last but not least ...
SIMRACINGONLINE wishes you a great race!
And always remember that your fellow SRO members have also put in a lot of time practising for this race,
so please be careful and respectful with your buddies. :)

    DISCO PROTOCOL
To prevent the loss of drivers to an event due to mass-disconnections, Sim Racing Online introduces the following protocol.
(TeamSpeak INFO - go to TS channel rFactor 2)

    ADDITIONAL INFO:
    - A group of discos of 3 or more have to happen within a time zone of 5 minutes, otherwise they are viewed as separate incidents. For exemple ...
Driver 1 discos at the start, driver 2 after 15 minutes and driver 3 after 1 hour, those are separate incidents.
    - The pits will remain open during a Full Course Yellow period.
    - After a disco you can rejoin with a fresh vehicle : When you get back in session, your car is brand new, ready to start in Pits and you can use "Drive" to get back on track.

Have a good one, im working. Easy choice, its good money on easter sunday.
Also track is such that was too worried about protos on this track.
Will be a pain for GTE unless protos really up their standards.

I hope you'll make it to the race, I'll try to put up a fight, even though I've seen your excellent results in practice

Admin edit: This text sends a bad vibe, Roman. :)

Give me a shout if I can make it on. Little practice but I’ll give it a try.

I give up. lol. Wheel has gone dead on me. Updating the drivers now as the software is telling me the wheel is malfunctioning.
Not sure why it decides to do this now! Don’t think I’ll make it in time. Sorry.

UPDATE ; Very briefly onto the server during warmup but got kicked out. No worries. Hope you all have a good race :)

Will hopefully make it for the next one drama free!

Why did I lose a minute and a half just from pitting?? And how many laps did people do on one tank, because it seemed so much longer than me

Terrible mistake by me.. I thought I had podium secured but stopped at the wrong box because of a stupid setting I forgot.. Anyway congrats to the winners, great track this but had some lag.

These cars take a long time to repair. I had minor damage and it took 51 seconds, so I chose not to have it repaired.

I don't understand what happened. I lost maybe 30 seconds to the leaders before my stop. Once I pit, Nick laps me. I really don't get it

    depends on boost level.

Grats Nick and Roman, fun race at the start, got a bit lonely as the gaps opened up.

Full tank (aka 75 liter) I could do 73 minutes. Did you request the pit stop, respective did the game say the crew is ready?
To my understanding that makes a difference, in addition to repairs etc.

Anyway, still a bit mad, that I missed the last round because of a stupid mistake reorganizing the rf2 content just before the race...
So this was my first Multiclass race for a long time, I hope it was ok for the GTE. I had some half hearted dive bombs, but mostly I tried not to force my way through. Tell me, if a move was too much.

Apart from that, my strategy was not fully right and I need to find some speed. Seems I lost too much in the first sector to the fastest guys, kudos btw.

Will hopefully get better next time.

I was on boost 1, low revs and medium tyres. That went until 10 minutes to the end for a splash and dash and no tyre change.

Great race! I had a great view of John and Mark battling out untill the unfortunate spin of John. My pace was there but spun a few times to many. Tried to make it without pit stop but had to pit in the last lap. Nevertheless a grate race.

Which boost level is highest? As far as I knew I was on the highest, and while I was on track after my stop, I kept up with Nick and Matej

I didn't repair any damage at app, I chose not to. I just took 20 seconds for fuel, 30 seconds for tires

  19. Peter Jones

    Peter Jones Pro Driver

Thats like 1.7 Litres a lap, right?? Why was I getting through 2.8 litres a lap??

And yes, I requested my stops a good way around the lap, they should've been ready by the time I got to the pits but I was focused on driving so I didn't see a message. I took fuel and tires, and that was it, no damage repairs
