Registration Due to the fact LMU does not offer a 24/7 dedicated server drivers will need to do all pre-race day practice off-line. On race day the server will go live at 19:10 GMT, allowing a 60 min practice session before the 20:10 Q session. The Q session is 15 minutes. The Races will be 75 min. The race start will be using the "Short rolling formation lap" Round 6 at Bahrain will be a night race.
This will be the Final Round of the GTE Challenge! The makeup of round one has been canceled due to low participation .. This will allow us to move up the start time for the next LMU series featuring the GT3's! Round 6 is a night race @ Bahrain!
So will the points from Fuji now count? In my opinion, a race behind the safety car is still a race. I stuck it out til the end and finished 2nd. It doesn't seem fair on those that didn't bail on the race to not be awarded their points. (Just wishful thinking )
@Rob Milliken: What virtual time will this race start and can you confirm it's the GP/Road Course and not the Endurance?
Surprising mix of corners, not as dull as when it first stsrted being used. Struggling for braking into the second to last corner. Seems ot be another track where the car doesnt feel too different what ever i change abotu the setup!
Race day Info: The server code will be posted in this thread once the server goes live / the PW will already be available on the series event page. The server will go live at approximately 18:15 GMT for a one-hour practice session. In-game time for P1 will be 7:30 PM. The Q session will start at 19:15 GMT for the 15 min private Q session, in in-game time for Q will be 8:30 PM Race will start at 19:30, in-game time will be 9:30 PM..
Hi I'm not going to make tonight I'm afraid somethings popped up last minute but I'm definatly keen to do the gt3 series cheers Hue
my 3rd LMU race, 1st was that spa where i had no clue and brake was not calibrated. ( well 1st was when i installed game and tried online and got punted out after 2 laps ). Did one online thingy during the week and practiced a little and watched tons of guides.... Anyhow in the zone mostly. 1st part really fun racing and clean and was super fun. these cars are hard to pass. Once i got by @Robin Taylor but didnt even mean to! i got sucked in and cut T1 inside to avoid contact. Got illegal pass and let him by again. Lucky was that i saw it to begin with...live admin lol. Anyhow my softs would have lasted whole race but needed little fuel so there was that. ggs
Not sure why Toni slowed at the start, though i assume people dont know the typical start procedure where you run on the pit limiter and release when green so ended up running first for a few laps, but never really felt comfortable under brakes and spun so had settled for 4th watching the top 3 running so closely. Had decided to stop early, top back up and run to the end which i hoped i could calm it down a bit and just drive the car. The gaps ahead didn't change too much but was surprised to see both Nick and Robin end up behind me Sometimes i feel i'm not braking enough, others i brake less but for longer (which might have been the initial spin) and looking back the car wasn't that great anyway withe frwquently getting the TC kicking in on corner exit jumping on the throttle too quickly. The GT3's will be interesting as every race has them as fixed setups so never really looked at the setups.
It was fun to get some laps in & I agree with Mark about the car & track. For me the car was a bit of a handful not having any practice. I was going back & forth between late, harder breaking & early, light breaking as in P I kept flat spotting even after tuning the brakes down.. I was using the CDA set up for the Porsche and it did feel pretty good with the softs but when I decided to use Med's for the race I had a lot of understeer and my pace was way off .. I had 2 self-spins and was happy to finish the race in one piece! I did get a PB into the 2:01's later after pitting to the softs Grats to the top 3!! Also the results will be delayed a bit while we wait for some admin edits for the race .. Then it's off to the GT3's!! I hope we can fill the grids a little better with the next series! it started out good but that first debacle, no PW race that was invaded by wreckers at Fugi, kind of set us off on a bad note lol ..
