@Rob Milliken I was watching suzuka broadcast and it just hit me ..it was YOU at r2p who started doing rf2 events 1st while rest of us were doing rFactor1 !!11!!11 some Nissan race / series came to my mind ( and i sucked at it ) as it was probably 1st ones i ever did with the sim and front tires were just gone and done with like in 5 laps and rest of the stint to go... Just wanted to share this little flashback i had. You just keep on going dont you!
Hahah you are correct! I was pushing rF2 with Tim & Tod, at r2p, they were a bit skeptical & it took me lots of persuading but Tim finally gave in & let me run a series .. we did the Magains, Clios & Nissans & ya the tires were like butter on those Nissan's! Tim actually came to visit me up here in WA. He was on a cross-country trip. He had a van and towed this old funky trailer that was just an empty shell & a mountain bike! He was living out on the road with his super powerful laptop running the r2p site LOL..! good times..
How did they ever release that with those Nissan tyres being so unrealistically fragile?? And I remember racing with Rob in those early Clio races which were so much better .
i actually before r2p raced some races, ( while having beer ;D ) on a site that was pre-racedepartment, cant remember what it was called and then did those club races in racedepartment afterwards with Bram, Yori something, some guy called lennox lenn jeesus cant remember anymore and apparently @Andrew Harper somehow remembers me from there lol. I think it was Andrew... Joined r2p for Nick's tuesday nights porsche as Ari Nieminen invited me there. Used to race with him often in finnish league. How the time flies...
no, colors are weird and have to admit now i take 2-4 beers sometimes, back used to do 10+ so my habits have changed "slightly". i remember white backround only.
