Registration Welcome to the SRO LMU Prep Series! The prep series is designed to allow drivers to get a feel for both the GT3 and P2 class cars for the upcoming 2026 LMU Multiclass Championship, scheduled for January 2026. This will allow drivers to decide what class they will be driving in the 2026 Championship. How it works: The prep series will consist of 6 events on 3 select tracks biweekly. In round one, we will be using the GT3 cars, and in round two, we will be on the same track in the P2 class. This will continue with R3 being GT3, R4 P2 etc.. The races will be short 30 min weeknight sprints starting on Wednesday, October 8th in the 19:00 GMT time slot. The events: Wed Oct 8, 2025 19:00 R1 Fuji GT3 Wed Oct 22, 2025 19:00 R2 Fuji P2 Wed Nov 5, 2025 19:00 R3 Spa GT3 Wed Nov 19, 2025 19:00 R4 Spa P2 Wed Dec 3, 2025 19:00 R5 Bahrain GT3 Wed Dec 17, 2025 19:00 R6 Bahrain P2 Make sure when you register, you choose the proper class for the event!
As the Unrestricted ELMS version of LMP2 for LMU will be released for free tomorrow, are we going to use those LMP2 cars instead of the castrated WEC version?
We can use the newer P2 as long as its free. Everything is in the base game for this series however, you only get 2 free GT3 cars the McLaren 720s GT3 Evo and the Ford Mustang GT3
The new free ELMS P2 has been added to the car class selections! Drivers! Please ensure that when you register, you select the correct car for the event. I see drivers choosing the GT3 for round 2 which is a P2 class race! This will happen when you "Register for all events" at the start. To fix this, you must un-register for said event and re-register with the correct class!
Drivers! We need some input! My thoughts on the P2 class are that we remove the WEC P2 and go with the new unleashed ELMS P2 for this series and the 26' Championship.. Why? IMO, I think it will be the better choice, mostly because of the higher top speed. The WEC P2 and the GT3's are pretty close in cornering speeds, not so much on the straights as either P2 can run away, but for multi-class racing in traffic I feel the more separation the two classes have, the better Thought? Ideas? Let us know how you feel!! Thanks!
Yes, the P2's are all free, and you have 2 free GT3's to choose from. All the DLC GT3's will also be available to those who own the content .. However, keeping it all base content will limit the tracks available... So there might be an event with one of the DLC tracks but we will try and keep it all free...
Now unregistered from all GT3 and re-registered with GT3/ELMS P2 Can you confirm that we are going with the ELMS P2's? Or will I have to unregister again and swap the ELMS for WEC? I'm happy with whatever you're happy with.
Apologies, got home too late for race or to unregister. Wednesday's (and six other days of the week) can be tricky sometimes. Hope everyone had a good race.
Sure there is serious performans difference between P2 and ELMS P2 cars in LMU. ELMS 2 cars more stabil on the road to P2 and quicker. So for the race safety, ELMS P2 cars are suitable as my opinion as raced in LMU quite several.
There are some discounts on steam ATM, is there any info, what additional tracks (if any) we'll be driving in the LMU series in 2026?
