After the update I had a game crash 2 times, hoped it was a single player bug, but tonight I found out it's not only in single player...
One in Q, another 40mins into the race.
Hope they fix this before next round.

Third place, did not expect that, since I did all I could to be last. :p
Working out the menu while driving was learning on the job. Since I was last at one point, I just made it a practice session and came in 4 times in total to test things in the pits.
    Go figure ...

What on earth just happened? lol.

A little slower than my best time in qualifying but it would’ve only meant one place higher so that’s cool.

Just drove the race as hard as I could, and stayed out of trouble. Could’ve been a bit more decisive with traffic but otherwise to finish 2nd is a dream start.

I know others had issues (both race and game) so I’m just happy with the result. Well done to everyone who finished.

I’m sure the quick drivers will blitz the field in the next one! :)

For comparison I had no technical issues at all, a long delay before I first sat in the car in practice but I think that was the game figuring out where everybody was on track.

It was good until it wasn`t.
Apart from a little spin most of it was smooth, but managing traffic is one of the most stressfull things I ever did. It went wrong one time, when I tried to follow Nick at lapping a GT3 through the second part of Pouhon. It was too close for comfort and we touched respectively both spun (Probably a race incident or too much risk for my side, not really sure. Sorry). I had heavy damage as a result and it was not really safe to continue. So I wanted to pit but that eventually got me DSQed.

Why is probably the most stupid thing ever happened to me. I got a Stop/GO for entering the pits wrong, DT for speeding on top of time lost to repair the damage.
I then served the Stop/Go wrong (forgot to select it in the pit menue) and then I was doomed, because there was not enough time left to serve both penalties properly. Was in pitlane to serve my DT and was DQed by doing so.

What can I say, harsh because that basically means I didn`t do the race. On the bright side, I guess it cannot get much worse next time. Same for the other guys that had issues.

Oh and congrats to the winners and podium finishers.

Hard race, I was faster at the start of each stint on fresh tyres but was suffering from understeer everywhere, so in the later half of each stint Phillip was faster at that point, ran too much front brake blanking and never got the setup perfected, front tyres were 117c, moved brake bias rearward to compensate but caused me to loose the rear and the lead when I spun under braking into the last chicane near the end of the first stint, from then on it was a recovery drive, people seemed to be having their own incidents and issues which also helped, felt a bit dejected after the pit stop as there was a big gap to close down to the leader after being undercut, but got my head down and used the tyres up until the fronts started overheating again by which time I had caught the leaders and managed to take advantage of a spin at the bus stop which slowed both of them down and then passed Phillip into turn 1 before he could compose himself, feel sorry for Phillip in the end when he collided with a GT car in Pouhon, caught it in my mirror, would have been touch and go if I could hold the lead to the end with my overheating fronts, hopefully we will have more finishers in the LMP2 class in the next race to spice the championship up.

    'grats to Michele and Nick.

Well... not a particularly clean race for me. I was a bit plagued by periodic frame drop stutters in some crucial corners, most crucially in the final chicane, where i had a half-spins and a full spin costing me a drive-thru for??? crossing the pit entry line in a straight line while rejoining??? [i did a race with a 62 car grid a week or so ago at LeMans with no issues, so SPA issue???]. My final screw-up at "campus" may have been just me pathologically (mis)adjusting my TC and ABS settings, but whatever. Fun race overall (especially trying to find a way around Carl)!

On the bright side ... you gained a lot of racing experience in a new sim for the most of 90 minutes. That will serve you for the rest of the season.

Yeah, also because it is a soft dsq (i am still Part of the result), the result is not as harsh as expected.
Anyway, I watched the replay and I have to admit the Crash was my fault. Sorry @Michele Rizzo
I guess I know why I let Not more Margin (high exit Curb) but yeah wrong Priorities.

Same for me, I got a stop Go because I thought I had crossed the entry line behind the Bollard. But I did not, maybe there is some Kind of bug…

also sorry that I blocked you while Doing that.

    Hi,
the GT3 you made contact with was mine, and I was leading the class at that moment. I think you need a bit more patience when lapping slower cars, otherwise, incidents like this are inevitable. I saw both of you coming and you both dove in at the worst possible spot. The leader managed to get through because he took the inside before the corner, but you went for the outside. Even though I tried to hold a tight line, we still touched because my car tends to drift wide at that point. I get that you were fighting for the win, but if you had waited, you would have had the next straight to pass safely. You would have finished the race and I wouldn't have the damage I'm stuck with now. You need better race craft and situational awareness; it’s not just about pinning the throttle. Sorry for the vent, but I’ve seen this happen so many times and I'm tired of people not learning. See you next time.

Spa's not my fav track in GT's although I felt pretty good in the Ferrari in practice and managed to qualy 11th in the 2:22's. Felt good first few laps, chasing Barret, but lost the rear end with too much throttle on the kerb at turn 18 after Blanchimont and spun hard into the offside wall
As I was close to the pits I tried a stop, but didnt have repair selected before I stopped. Wasted time trying to see if it would repair if I changed it, but nothing doing so had to do a slow lap with damage and then pit for repair.
Did my scheduled stop at half way but then tanked it into the wall at the top of Eau Rouge at which point my team had had enough and told me the car was only fit for the bin. So, should have finished higher but not to be. I prefer Fuji to this track so lets see what happens there.

    Grats to the podiums..

p.s. Is there any way to set up a pit strategy in setup before race start? I had to fiddle with the menus whilst trying to race which isnt ideal o_O

No, there isn't! You need to configure your strategy on the grid before the green light, while your engine is still cut.

Map buttons for your MFD and you can adjust whatever you want mid race. BUT... as you say you must have it finalised before the pit in line.

Just a note for the next round (I particularly saw this in the GT3s), the leader should keep a consistent speed with no hard braking. I did see the leader nearly leave the pack behind and then hard braked down to the speed limit just after the chicane. This caused a lot of drivers behind to suffer from the concertina effect (half the field had to come to a stop). Better to keep a medium speed so no big adjustments have to be made when the speed limit portion of the formation happens.

You're right, but I was trying to follow the transition between green and red shown by the simulator. I had the limiter on from the start, but then it told me to catch up to the last of the LMP2s and then it told me to brake. I'm sorry, but it’s not entirely my fault; I was just following the instructions to avoid getting a penalty.

I had 3 SG's and 2 DT's for no reason. I made sure I was compliant in the pit lane. Their must be a bug.
