Yeah, these cars are brutal, so it's a good representation of the DRM era.
I like the liveliness of this mod and the contact that the tyres have with the road.

I'm sure you noticed that the Norisring is especially "bumpy", so that gives it an extra layer on the cake :p:eek:
I can give you one driving tip ... stay close to the guardrail on the right on the main straight, so you brake in a straight line.

First, Big Kudos to Woodee for the mirror fix and the repack! Having it as a Steam download/install is priceless for league play..:) Thanks, Woodee!!

Norisring is a 'bouncy house' experience for sure in these cars! Lots of white knuckle code browns at Noris...

I was not sure what to expect from the mod, it has a loose 'garage band' unfinished kind of feel, gritty & loose but under control. I like the way you can power slide them & the rear seems to hang in pretty good.

Tough call what car to drive at this bump fest :p

I drove all 5 and so far I think I'm taking the Capri for round 1, it's also going to be a question of tire wear, i havent done any long stints yet, so I have no idea, but I do know their is no way I can make these tires last 45 minutes:eek::rolleyes:. I seem to be melting them. probably from all the thrashing around :D

It's hard to see with all the bouncing, I'm literally getting air on the back streach:eek:... dropping the dampers & springs helps some, but seems slower, but the wheels stay on the ground :)..

As mentioned above, some have gauges & some dont so it looks like it's still a wip? Did you say the dev is missing in action?
Again, glad we have Woodee to get it sorted & set up for us..

I think I'm saving the M4 for Nurb where you can air out that hot box of an engine..lol ..

It is indeed a mod in development. I find the driving physics raw and excelent like you said. The dashboard model of some cars need some work and in other area's too, but the driving is great. The Norisring is especially "bumpy" on its own and with this mod that is being accentuated. You also have to be as straight as you can, braking for T1 because the racing line in the approach is curved.
The mod developer Bug66 has gone of the radar a year ago. I've learned from Corti that he had some health issues.

I think I have now sorted the mirrors and the Lancia dashboard colours. I can only fix so much with my very limited knowledge.

    Capri v1.82
    Group 5 v0.04

    DRIVERS BRIEFING

    1. All 5 events of this series will be broadcast

    2. Norisring Conditions
    a) The race will start at 02:00 PM (in-game time of course).
    b) Time acceleration is normal. Fuel = normal, tyres = normal.
    c) Cut Track points are set to 6
    d) 100% damage
    e) The weather is always dry.

    3) This event has a single file formation lap. The pole sitter can start racing coming out of the last hairpin.
    Norisring start.png
    4. PUNTING:
    - If you punt a driver, you have to stop and give the track position back.
    - If you are not able to give the track position back, you have to do a pitlane drive-through.
    - If you do not give the position back or do a drive-through, you will go 3 positions down in the end result after the race.
    - Drivers who are punted can report to me, John van der Geest/admin, if the offender did none of the above.

    5. The use of the Esc key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
    1. You run out of fuel in the pit lane before reaching your pit stall.
    2. You sustain damage to your car as a result of another driver and cannot make it back to your pit stall. You must prove your qualifying session was wrecked by another driver and that you made an attempt to return to pit lane.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

    6. You can find the password for the race server on the Norisring event page.

    7. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

    8. Please use the SAME NAME in the rFactor 2 game as on our SRO signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

You can change your name in the rFactor 2 "Profile" menu.

    9. If you plan to PROTEST another driver, you have to wait 24 hours counting from the end of the race.
Any protest filed before that time will be viewed as not received. You can find the rules about submitting a protest here.

    10. You can find the server by typing SRO or the track name. Add the server to your favourites so you can always find it.
If you can't find the server in the rFactor 2 server list, you can access this way:
    1. click on this link: https://simracepackages.lima-city.de/rF2server/
    2. scroll down to "SRO" (it's alphabetical)
    3. choose the correct server and join with the password (see point 4 above)
    4. the server will start automatically and will take you to the event

Last but not least ... SIMRACINGONLINE wishes you a great race!
And always remember that your fellow SRO members have also put in a lot of time practising for this race,
so please be careful and respectful with your buddies. :)

I was looking forward to joining in on this series, but the first couple rounds conflict with another series I am racing in. You guys have a blast  and I hope to get to race some of the later rounds. :D I will be watching the Stream for sure when I get the chance :p

funny car but quite a beast.
i got hit in the beggining, in the back and the car got damage with wheel to the side. I start to lose time and then in T1 my foot slept from the pedal and i hit Phil Brown :-((((
i tried to go left to avoid but he went left too. So so sorry Phil :-(((((

Not taking my own advice, I did not keep my wheel straight for the braking in T1 and spun.
Then I had to wait for the whole field to pass, before I could go back on track. That was a bit of a shame, but otherwise, great race.

Grats to my teammate Toni Talvitie! Stellar drive.
