    2. Mosport Conditions
    a) The race will start at 01:00 PM (in-game time of course).
    b) Time acceleration is normal. Fuel = normal, tyres = normal.
    c) Cut Track points are set to 20.
    d) 50% damage.
    e) The weather is cloudy with light rain.
    f) Qualifying is 10 minutes.

    3. This event has a standing start. No formation lap

    4. PUNTING:
    - If you punt a driver, you have to stop and give the track position back.
    - If you are not able to give the track position back, you have to do a pitlane drive-through.
    - If you do not give the position back or do a drive-through, you will go 3 positions down in the end result after the race.
    - Drivers who are punted can report to me, John van der Geest/admin, if the offender did none of the above.

    5. The use of the Esc key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
    1. You run out of fuel in the pit lane before reaching your pit stall.
    2. You sustain damage to your car as a result of another driver and cannot make it back to your pit stall. You must prove your qualifying session was wrecked by another driver and that you made an attempt to return to pit lane.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

    6. You can find the password for the race server on the Mosport event page.

    7. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

    8. Please use the SAME NAME in the rFactor 2 game as on our SRO signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

You can change your name in the rFactor 2 "Profile" menu, or
Find the file ". . . steamapps / common / rfactor2 / UserData / Player / player.JSON". Open it in Notepad or any similar app. In the "DRIVER" section, find the line "Player Name":"Your Name" and change it to "Player Name":"John Smith" (or whatever). Next line "Player Nick":"(enter your nickname)"

    9. If you plan to PROTEST another driver, you have to wait 24 hours counting from the end of the race.
Any protest filed before that time will be viewed as not received. You can find the rules about submitting a protest here.

    10. You can find the server by typing SRO or the track name. Add the server to your favourites so you can always find it.
If you can't find the server in the rFactor 2 server list, you can access this way:
    1. click on this link: https://simracepackages.lima-city.de/rF2server/
    2. scroll down to "SRO" (it's alphabetical)
    3. choose the correct server and join with the password (see point 4 above)
    4. the server will start automatically and will take you to the event

People were lapping just fine on server. Now minority complains, weather is changed and my setup is down the toilet.
Yes there were 3 Spots on track, i considered them as big puddles of water were you cant rev the engine.
Its full wet, no rain tyres....pffft what you expect.

I've been developing a wet setup all week, and I know that these setups don't perform well on a dry track.

I think I know how this might end.

    Will qualifying remain wet?

To be honest, I did a few laps and I didn’t feel much difference. The track is still slippery, maybe a little less than before. So maybe your setup can do the job.

They weren't fine. The grip was so random in the wet. It's not racing in those conditions, it's just crawling around with a hope not to spin. That's not fun.

And if your setup is great, why don't you share it with the rest of us? Everything I tried sucked ass.

The track is not dry. There is still a decent amount of water spray behind the cars. It's less wet, but still wet. The danger aerea's are still dangerous, but less so now. I still have to drive with an egg underneath the throttle pedal.
Your setup might serve you well.
Qual is still wet with light rain.

I'm only glad I hardly practice. Oh, that might be the reason ...

No grip, no traction, no top speed. Went better than I thought it would and I'm glad that's over.

Are there big differences in performance between cars in the rain? I don't know how yall managed to clock 1:18 laps... it was unimaginable to me
I trained, but it wasn't enough, and I couldn't figure out how to improve myself...
    Very disappointed in myself

No idea. Definitely a lot of time in the setup but no matter what I did I couldn't find grip.

This wasn't how I envisioned this race.
Until yesterday, I felt stable on the track and was hoping for a solid result. Unfortunately, something went wrong. I didn't adjust my settings to the prevailing weather conditions. It turns out that was important, because in the second half of the race, I regained control of the car when there was more water on the track. I should have adjusted the differential settings; I don't know what I was hoping for.

This was my last chance for a good result; the next track probably won't suit me.

    Congratulations to Toni

    and thanks for racing.
