Registration Welcome to round two of the 2026 SRO World Series! This series consists of 6 rounds, all on non-DLC tracks! We will be using the LMGT3 class for this event, of witch you get 2 free cars. The McLaren 720s GT3 Evo and the Ford Mustang GT3 (All you need is the base game to take part in this championship) Races will be 75 min with the exception of round 3, which will be a 90-minute simulated 24 hrs of Spa with time excel. Pit Stops: The 75 min race length should force a pit stop, as the GT3's with VE should be able to run about 60+ min on a full tank! So strategies will be important, removing the "fuel saving" aspect for more flat-out racing. No GT3 car should be able to last 75 min on 1 tank. (If we find out one can, we will enforce a mandatory pit stop for all races) Tire restrictions: You will have 10 tires to work with for each race, thats 2 full sets with 2 extra. Weather: The session weather will be announced the week before each event, with rain expected in at least one of the events. Weekday practice servers will all be member-hosted as before due to how the LMU ded works. Check the "Member Hosted Practice" thread for available server times. On race day, the server will go live for a 1.5 hr practice session followed by the 10 min Q leading up to the race. Car selection: Pick your car wisely. You must use the car you choose for the entire series. Each driver is allowed to request 1 car change that must be approved by all the drivers and the admin. The points will mirror round 1 and will be the same for all World Series events with extra points awarded for fastest lap in Q and fastest lap in the race (1 point each) All points from round one of the 2026 World Series will be carried over to start Round 2, with the total from all 4 events crowning the 2026 SRO World Series Champion at the end. All SRO Rules are in effect and can be found HERE Including the "No esc in Q" rule, and the "driver name must match your SRO member/forum name" rule. nice setup John! maybe we can restrict car-hopping to avoid McLaren grid at Monza like last time.. or maybe allow one switch..?! in my world you should race whole season with one car to resemble real world.
Hi Lars, I helped @Rob Milliken with setting up the forum threads, but Rob is providing all the answers to questions on details of this series. He is the host.
Getting excited for this series!! 22 signups with 2 weeks to go!! The grid is looking good!! Let's see if we can get to 30!
Hi everyone, quick question regarding the upcoming race/championship: are tyre warmers allowed/enabled for the GT3 cars, or do we start on cold tyres? Thanks!
Hello, I believe that with the Porsche it would be possible to complete a 75-minute race without a pit stop (using 117 litres) Perhaps it would be better to make pit stops officially mendatory to avoid confusion? Or perhaps I haven’t quite understood the maximum amount of fuel that can be carried. I’m new to LMU and I must admit that the difference between virtual energy and the fuel carried on non-hybrid GT3s is a bit unclear to me...
no way. u only have 100% virtual energy for a stint and the normal ratio with porsche should be around 0.84 so u only need about 84 liters of fuel. starting with full tank u first run out of VE (virtual energy).and have to pit (while still carrying about 30 of fuel). VE is for bop. u should watch some YT videos about VE If u dont wanna get into trouble.
That was a great question. Also, there is a huge penalty for running out of VE so make sure you don't get fooled by the amount of gas remaining and think you can make one more lap to pit .. but VE runs out it's painful, like a 3-min stop-and-go lol
bit confused, when i log into the game and select GT3, the only options i get are: Aston Martin Corvette (with padlock asking me to pay more money) Ferrari (with padlock asking me to pay more money) maclaren Merc Porsche The ford mustang, BMW and Lambo are missing, any ideas why this is happening?
I assume this is offline single player? The Ford Mustang, BMW and Lambo are all part of the WEC so u need to choose that for offline practice.
