Welcome to SRO Jean Francois. From the details you've provided it looks like we should have plenty of races using several sims for your enjoyment.

    1. What is your name?
    Mike Wrightson

    2. From what country are you?
    UK

    3. How did you learn of Sim Racing Online?
    You can blame Woodee :D

    4. Can your computer handle the newest racing games or only older games like rFactor 1?
Should be fine for the new stuff.

    5. What sim(s) do you like the most?
    rFactor 2

    6. What kind of racing type do you like the most (Single class / Multi class) or something else?
Single class, but multi is good too.

    7. What kind of car(s) do you most like to drive (Touring car / GT's / Prototypes / Open wheel) or something else?
    Touring / GT mostly

    8. What are your favorite 3 tracks and in which game?
    Nordschleife - Grand Prix Legends
    Zandvoort - Grand Prix Legends
    Spa - rFactor 2

    9. Do you like short races (30 min) or long races (90 min) or something else?
    I've been used to 20 - 40min races.
I can be down for longer ones too, I've done endurance before.

    10. When did you start sim racing?
Started late 90's with GP2, GP3 offline with LFRS. Started online in 2000 with Grand Prix Legends, followed with NASCAR 2003, then F1-2001 to F1C, rFactor, rFactor 2 and iRacing.
I last raced about 2014 and got rid of everything. Starting again from scratch and I'll see if the old dog can re-learn his old tricks :)

    11. What is the best day / time for you to race GMT?
    weekday evenings are usually best.

    Additional information about yourself:
After working retail customer services for 17 years, I quit and ended up supporting myself streaming on Twitch for the last 4 years! I didn't see that one coming, but I'm glad it did.

Thanks for having me here :)

My new wheel arrives tommorrow, then I can test it in GT Legends (£6 on Steam!). After that I'm waiting for the Steam sale later on as I'll be looking for rF2 and LMU
I am on a real budget though, so the wheel had to be a Thrustmaster T128. YouTube suggests it'll be fine, so fingers crossed.
Planning to stream some GTL on saturday evening here: https://twitch.tv/brother_sabathius

SRO does not have servers for GTL, unfortunately. I had the game, back in the day and loved it.
I would also like to run GTR2 again, but apparently, you have to jump through too many hoops to get it running on modern machines. I also don't want to install that Star anti-cheat programme on my computer.

I'm just gonna be hotlapping and learning to drive again, maybe some AI races tbh. Shake some rust off.

    1. What is your name?
    Devin McMullen

    2. From what country are you?
    USA

    3. How did you learn of Sim Racing Online?
Saw it as I was looking through "Sim Racing Online" and funny enough it was the first thing to pop up (who would imagine)

    4. Can your computer handle the newest racing games or only older games like rFactor 1?
My computer can handle most games, I've been playing a lot of Forza Horizon 6 on high settings recently with no issues so anything else should be fine.

    5. What sim(s) do you like the most?
I am new to Sim Racing as a whole (Most recent actual sim racing game that I have properly played online that's not arcade is GT6, along with dabbles in things like NASCAR 25 and F1 games but always played in career mode). I have dabbled a tiny bit in rFactor2, RaceRoom, and Assetto (~ 30 min each on a controller) but I'm excited to try others and get the feel for them. Out of the three that I have tried, I definitely like the feel of rFactor a tiny bit more but that may change when I get my wheel and pedals.

    6. What kind of racing type do you like the most (Single class / Multi class) or something else?
As per my previous answer, I don't really have a favorite type. If I had to choose it would be multiclass. I just love the idea of having to keep pace while also keeping an eye out for traffic and weaving your way through. Something about that just seems more exciting than just pure straight-line racing.

    7. What kind of car(s) do you most like to drive (Touring car / GT's / Prototypes / Open wheel) or something else?
I like driving all cars. I like going fast and since I can't do that in real life besides having to pay for it, I figured to put virtual money on cars I could never afford and go extra fast.

    8. What are your favorite 3 tracks and in which game?
I have a lot of learning to do and plenty of tracks to try, but my favorite to watch currently is Nurburgring.

    9. Do you like short races (30 min) or long races (90 min) or something else?
I always preferred longer races as they allow for making up for some mistakes that could happen early on rather than just being lost out of the start. Usually around 30-45 min is where I stopped myself for being too long (Mind you I was 13 when GT6 came out), but I am always down to try even longer things.

    10. When did you start sim racing?
I would say that this is my start to proper sim racing. I just bought my first proper wheel and pedal set (Moza R3), which I am excited to try out when it gets here on Friday and learn from as I continue.

    11. What is the best day / time for you to race GMT?
Weekends would definitely be best as time constraints from work won't matter. However, I would be able to do weekdays after 10pm GMT if there is ever anything around then.

    Additional information about yourself:
I have always loved video games while growing up, so much so that I decided to pursue a Computer Science degree and plan on coding after I finish my career in the Military which I am 7 years into. I am very excited to learn and grow within Sim Racing, and I will always be appreciative of suggestions or feedback from anyone I will have the pleasure of racing with.

A great resume from you Devin and one I'm sure many of our members can concur on as part of their journey into sim racing :). Welcome to SRO and hope to see you running sometime soon. Any questions or things you're not sure of, don't worry about asking in the forums. We've all been there before and gone through the (ongoing) learning phase.
