Ive had to dereg as Im on hols this week so cant make it. Hope it goes well and see you in the next series
Sorry I'v missed the last few races due to me having replacement hip surgery. The op went well and still on the road to recovery. Continuing with regular rehab exercise and I hope to be able to get back in my rig as soon as possible. Good luck to all drivers for the last race in the series.
Good to hear it all went OK Brian. I'm sure the new hip will give you another 0.5-1.0 second when you return
Fabulous race tonight guys. Worst possible start. Somehow started on left lock so smashed straight into the wall. A tangle in T1/T2 let me back into the mix with @Stephen Wenham some 12 seconds behind me. Stephen caught up pretty quickly so I let him through as we both gained on @Hermann Gottlieb Klohn. Next 10 laps was a full on racing convoy, no quarter given or expected. Apologies if I tapped you in the hairpin Stephen. I don't think I did but it was very close. (Sorry for breaking radio silence). Then Hermann and Stephen clashed in T2 spinning each other out. Hermann was damaged and pitted. Stephen was 12 seconds behind again and we embarked on a long, long time trial. Slowly, Stephen gained on me, and tyres fading, we both made slight errors which stretched and compressed the gap. The leaders were lapping now, which made life a bit more tricky, then Stephen was 2-3 seconds behind. Suddenly he was gone, must have had an incident and I was comfortably free to bring home a 4th place. Big result for me! Great little series. Thank you drivers and @Ken Jagger for organising it.
We have a problem with the results file, but I'm not sure what it is. It might take a while to get it sorted out if I need to refer it to our backroom IT guy, aka Mark Hightree
