SIGN UP HERE WELCOME TO THE FORMULA 1 (EDGE) 1995 CHAMPIONSHIP ***************************************************************************************** F1 1995 SKIN PACK We are using the AMS2 Formula 1 1995 skin pack. In order to see the skins from other players on the server, everybody has to install the skins. If you do not install the skin pack, you will only see the AMS2 default skins. INSTALLATION: 1. Unpack the skin pack 2. Copy the 2 folders inside. (You do not need the Scenarios_FEdge): 3. Paste the 2 folders UserData & Vehicles in the main Automobilista 2 folder under "Common" and let it overwrite: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Automobilista 2 4. You can find the 1995 skins inside AMS2 under Formula Edge and then under Model 1, Model 2 and Model 3. ***************************************************************************************** DLC TRACKS You don't have to buy the DLC tracks for online racing. The server lets you enter, even if you don't own the DLC tracks. The DLC tracks are: Barcelona Catalunya GP Silverstone 1991 Spa Francorshamps 2005 Hockenheimring 2001 ***************************************************************************************** CAR SELECTION LINK We will allow 3 cars per car team because the mod is not BOP'd (Ferrari x 3, McLaren x 3 ect), so everybody has a good chance to select the car model they want. However, first come, first-served. Submit the car you want to drive here! ***************************************************************************************** FORMULA EDGE MOD INFO These are the characteristics of Model 1, 2 and 3. Automobilista 2 Q: Are all 3 models of the Formula Edge BOP'd? A: Short answer: No — the three Automobilista 2 Formula Edge models are not fully Balance of Performance (BoP) equalized. They’re intentionally designed with different strengths rather than being lap-time matched everywhere. Here’s how Automobilista 2 currently handles them: Model Engine Characteristics Competitive outlook Formula Edge Model 1 V12 Highest power, very tractable, stable rear Strong on very high-speed tracks Formula Edge Model 2 V10 More nervous/twitchy, harder to drive Likely fastest overall in skilled hands Formula Edge Model 3 V8 Less fuel consumption, forgiving at the limit Easier to drive consistently, but slower top speed Reiza’s own release notes describe them as “three distinct models, each with their own strengths and weaknesses”, and explicitly mention: Model 1 (V12) = not fastest except on very high-speed circuits Model 2 (V10) = probably slightly faster overall but harder to drive Model 3 (V8) = less demanding, fuel efficient, lacks ultimate speed So in practice: Not strict esports-style BoP (like GT3 where lap times are intentionally equalized) Track-dependent balance Monza / Hockenheim / old Silverstone → V12 often stronger Technical tracks → V10 tends to shine Long races / consistency / tire management → V8 can be surprisingly competitive For league racing, many players are currently debating whether mixed-model championships are “fair enough” because pace differences do exist. If you’re running multiplayer: You’ve basically got 3 options: One-make only → fairest competition Mixed grid with fixed assignments → realistic 1995-style season feel Use slower cars as handicaps for faster drivers If you’re asking from a hotlap / league meta perspective, right now the rough community consensus seems to be: V10 (Model 2) > V12 (Model 1) > V8 (Model 3) …but circuit-dependent enough that it’s not a universal ranking.
STEAM SAIL If you do not have Automobilista 2 yet, the game and DLC tracks are now 50% off until July 7.
Hi Maddie, There is no live-timing of AMS2. Since it's a month away, I haven't done a serious lap yet, so I wouldn't know. But I'm sure you will be competitive.
Go to time trial. There you can see the best times set for all car/track combinations.you can then load a ghost car and in most cases take the setup used to set the time.
Doh ..I saw this already (yesterday right after launching it) and made the change to 2001 ..BUT ! .. I forgot to restart the server All set now ..
No, in fact I will be doing it AC style = Join & park as there are no broadcast tools for AMS2. These cars are right up your alley, Niel. Are you driving, or would you like to join me for the broadcast? For everyone: Here is a sample broadcast using join & park. Don't mind the sound it was not part of the test ..
