First of all, congrats Gaetan, Matej and Lars - great job.

For me it was a rather frustrating race, first because I started in the wrong gear (needless gift for those behind) and I spun once, because of my own error, too greedy after turn 15. That and the appalling second lap, which reminded me a lot of an open lobby cost me a better result.

I would not say that it was reckless but at least careless. A Ford spins a BMW, which starts the mess, a Ferrari slams into me even there was enough room given, which allows a joint-venture of a BMW and a different Ferrari to spin me around.
Wasn`t there a rule, that if you spin someone you either readdress or do a DT? Not continuing as nothing happened.

Anyway, tried my best to recover some positions and enjoyed some of those battles along the way. Thanks for that.

 

I have lot to learn in this sim, driving my arse off but still just not doing that good.
And no, didnt go wide in T1, had to evade 3 cars not to hit me. If id been blind, id been hit and punted...

 

Please please please @Gaetan NOYGUES, put @Rob Milliken and I out of our misery... how do you pronounce your first name and last name??

We had several interpretations on broadcast as to how it would sound but I don't think we were close. This goes for anyone else in the field that hears us pronounce their name wrong, please correct us

 

Aha don't worry, we say "oy" in "Noygues" like "oi" in "boiling water" for example, and in french we do not pronounce the "s" at the end but you can since its common in english.
Honestly I don't mind because my name is already mispronounced even in French .

Anyway congrats to everyone as to my surprise the track temp was very hot during the race and it was difficult to not overheat the tyres. I had to make sure that Matej could not catch me in the long straight by giving my best in the last sector.

syllables: "Bate" (rhymes with "gate") and "son"

First name is "Gay-ton"? "Gay-tan"? "Gee-tan"?

 

Id guess its "Ge-tään" with that supressed kind of ng used in the end and "Noi-gee"
Or doit as we doit in Finland, just say how its written. Im clueless why every other country writes different and pronounce diffrent than write. Too much stress!!
