Le Mans Ultimate Round 2 Monza - 2026-08-02

I have been wanting to gwt back into LMU, their events dont give much chance to practise before a race so have been wary of just jumping straight into a race (I swear they want this for some reason)

 

On a dry, medium grip practise session was doing mid 1:52's moving into the high 1:51's

 

A quick "heads-up" guys:
With the last update it looks like LMU will give you a penalty for "pitlane misbehaviour".
Near as i can determine, that means you didn't move into or out of the "fast lane" within whatever limit they've assigned. A red warning bar alerts you, but i didn't know what it was first time and just got lucky with my pit location. i've seen several DT penalties in the races i've done this week.

 

I should note that the new angled starts make that a bit tricky as well, if you're used to "looking right" to see if someone's coming. Best to pull out and move parallel just before the outside lane so the radar can alert you to any potential collision, then move asap into the outside lane.

i did some testing today and this has a track by track tolerance. Sebring gives you very little time, because the pit lane is narrow. Daytona, because the pit lane is so very wide, you have to be way closer to the actual pit stalls to get the warning [at least in practice].

NO CHATTING DURING THE RACE.
This is not a complicated rule. It is common sense and is respectful to other drivers. Your problem, whatever it is, should not be a problem for all the others. I got surprised and distracted by unexpected chattering and binned my car only a few seconds into the race. Thanks guys, but I can ruin my race all by myself without your help.
NB Just a reminder, at the end of the race no chatting until EVERYONE has crossed the line.

1 spin and after that drove in my upper register whole race so happy about that.
Not fast enough so not so happy about that.

I would like to apologise in advance for anyone that watches back the broadcast. I have been suffering with a bad throat and coughing all week and I did my best to mute when I could feel it coming on. I think I may have missed the mute button a couple of times, so apologies!

Congrats to everyone, the idiot I am was just short on fuel at the pit stop so I had to coast during 2nd stint.

Unfortunately my game crashed just at the very finish of quali session which I finished 4th and I when I relaunched the game session was in race already. I was hoping that game will allow to start from pit lane but unfortunately it didn't happen.

 

Odd... I thought the game allowed people to join an active race session.
