Hi all, Welcome to Round 7 of the TNC Euro F3 Series.

I am delighted to bring my racing events to SRO, having run series previously for many years at Race2Play.

So as most of you who have raced with me before will know, play fair and we will have a great series.

All SRO Rules are in play so please bear that mind and ensure you and all other competitors have an enjoyable event.

    Good luck all!

With immediate effect all drivers are expected to download and install the following app

    https://www.simracingonline.co.uk/resources/pit-lane-penalty-plp.363/

This app is now mandatory for all Assetto Corsa events.

Previously it was optional, but several including myself had been using it and indeed been penalised by it.

To make it a level playing field, all drivers are now required to have the app installed.

Please ensure this is done in very good time for this event.

Pit Lane Penalty is an app which detects race track cutting.
It will give you 3 warnings of cutting the track limits, and on the 4th occasion, will issue you with a drive-thrupenalty.
You have 3 laps to serve this drive-thru.
You can take your penalty at the same time as a pit stop (Something that cannot be avoided at this time).

Criteria the system uses for detecting track cuts:-
    • Track cutting is defined as 3 or more wheels out of the track, using the AC cut detection.
    • Only cuts over 50 kph are registered.
    • If you are off-track for more than 1.3 seconds, or slow down to less than 90% of your track exit speed at any time while off-track before re-entering, a cut won't be registered. This is to stop accidents from registering as cuts. The app does detect high speed cuts that last longer than 1.3 seconds, where you don't slow down, as well.

    Installation
Unzip the app into your Assetto Corsa root directory. Typically:-
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\assettocorsa

Start Assetto Corsa, navigate to OPTIONS > GENERAL and then put a check next to PitLanePenalty to enable the app.
Then once on track, go to the right hand menu that appears at the edge of the screen and tick the Pit Lane Penalty icon to ensure you are notified on track of any warnings or penalties received.

another idea I have for new series - just look at upcoming
2018 FIA F3 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP CALENDAR and you can choose some tracks we did not have from there directly. or even follow it whole :)

Love your eagerness but I have two weeks a four other races between now and then lol.

I am normally happy to get within 3 seconds of an RSR lap record.

really good article for raising personal performance: http://thesimpit.com/en/news/comments/Top-5-Mental-Approach-to-Sim-Racing-and-its-benefits ..at least for me is very usefull ;) I did just few laps on brands hatch and was about 1:23:2xx. I believe I'll be able to go to around 1:21 after some practicing and setup adjusted for qualy. more important is consistency and ability to keep the time for several laps (the best would be whole race :).

@Nick Phillips - is there a way to have own car skin for the series? it could be nice to have the skin for it, especially when there is more-less stable community for each and it takes 2 - 3 months. so it is worth to spend time and create one :) in SRS they have very nice app to automatically maintain and synchronize car skins, but this is most probably their own stuff, not available for other portals. on ACCentral (AC community for Czech and Slovak drivers) we use manual way. drivers upload skins to an administrator and then he updates server config and make whole skinpack downloadable for drivers. thx

  9. +1 here. I would like also to have personal skin and learn skins of other drivers so I know by car color who is who :)

We normally do this with a skin deadline of 1 week before round 1 of the event ..
I have no prob assigning skins on the server ;-) Ideally what we need is a skin pack for ALL DRIVERS to install so we all have the skins ..
I suggest any drivers that have custom skins to post them up for download so I can put them all in one zip file for everyone to download & install ..
however in this case Im happy to add them to the server as we go .. But remember if you don't have them you wont see them so please if you have custom skins

Use THIS THREAD to upload your skins for AC !

    Thx !

that's perfect. makes not much sense to do this for ongoing series, but definitely would be great for upcoming ones. thanks!

I have to singe out of the series guys ;-( ..In the US west coast where I live we just went to daylight savings time , with the start time of 21:00 GMT this push's the time slot to, 2PM my time where I can no longer take part as I have to be at work 30 min into race time ,my work day starts at 2:30 pm ..:( unless Im wrong ?
Before daylight savings time this was a 1pm start for me that gave me plenty of time to race & still make it to work ! does this effect the euro times as well ??

  16. it sad :( In europe we have daylight change 2 weeks later, March 25.
