A nice collection of racing-pictures from this track you can see her: http://www.acd-racing.com/rouen.html Round 2, probably the highlight of this series!
You ran at Osterreichring Flaviu, so unless you've uninstalled or done something else to break the Historic Car mod (unlikely), then it must be the track, which you need to subscibe to on STEAM here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1217702018&searchtext=rouen
i had the same trouble in workshop subscribe to the eve community pack and then it works i believe its just a few skins
I have the track installed. I practiced offline. And didn't do nothing (install, uninstall) to rFactor2 (I did not even bought Endurance Pack yet ). I will try Nick advice ASAP Latter edit: Thank you all for your answers. Community pack solved the issue. Thank you @Nick Lawrence
You need to always install all the mods listed on the race event page. If the community pack fixed it, then you must have chosen a car from it this time, but used one of the original mod cars at the first round.
Some guys seem to have the wrong idea about the allowed cars for this series. The server has had to be set for the FULL mod due to the way the cars are grouped together within the mod, but this series is ONLY FOR THE F3 EVE OR SPARK cars. Please do not practice on the server using the F1 cars, as the LiveRacers lap-times are misleading and confusing.
That was an utter disaster. I can't believe how poor the driving standards were today... And that includes my own. Q1 - Had a session-long battle with another car that ruined both of our laps, so 50/50 blame. P4. R1 - Hit @Ken Jagger twice on the first lap, spinning him (Sorry Ken). Took a drive-through. Rejoined unsafely (Sorry everyone). Got battered around at the back. Was the victim of four or five unsafe rejoins. Caused two more incidents, one with @Nick Lawrence (Sorry Nick) and one with someone else. P6. Q2 - Someone spun into me on the outlap, damaging my car and ruining the session. P10. R2 - Was spun into by another car, and then collected by absolutely everyone else as no-one cared about yellow flags. This damaged my car. P6. Main problems: Late braking in the hairpin (I was guilty of this at one point) Spinning up the rear tyres while on the grass (Seriously, just lift off and don't spin, please) Unsafe rejoins Unsafe pit exits (I was guilty of this at one point) Going full speed under yellow flags, and hitting a car in plain sight Seriously, just calm down, everyone. That was ridiculous and undriveable.
warmup: connection lost Q1, R1: P1, P1 Q2: P1 R2: ?? R2: At the beginning everything went well, I worked out 10s advantage ... it was going too easy ... too easy, I make a mistake on t2, go out of the way to a chicane, lose five seconds and get a stop & go penalty (10s) as a gift a few laps away, after completing the penalty I make another mistake, this time on the turn, I lose five seconds and get a stop & go penalty (10s) On the last lap I wanted to go to the second penalty, I'm leaving for a straight start-finish just behind Barrett, but he puts the brake in front of me and goes to an accident. ...It's not over yet I am going to a pitline, I am completing a penalty, I pass the finish line and I get a present: it turns out that it does not count me the last lap I lost today, with myself Congratulations for the persistent ... ie the winners Regards
Well let´s put it that way, the races hosted by Gehard are always full of "action". I was right in the middle, but fortunately I was not involved, expect of my nudge to Nick. Sorry, I really thought I would get the corner and leave you enough space. It did not work and put you into a little mess, that was not my aim. Apart from that, I was able to benefit from incidents of other drivers but dropping like a stone afterwards. So many of them were able to repass me. Without the Michal and Barretts carnage I would have finished both races just in the Top 10. Maybe I should have spend more time building a set up, as I drove the default settings or probably I was simply to slow. Anyway I had at least a bit of fun, thanks and see you. Oh and a little highlight video to give an impression over some of the "action"
"On the last lap I wanted to go to the second penalty, I'm leaving for a straight start-finish just behind Barrett, but he puts the brake in front of me and goes to an accident." Sorry, Michal, unfortunate that we couldn't communicate. i moved to the right so as to let you, Stefan and Gerhard by because i wasn't comfortable with the way i gained that position. The lap before, I had a good run on both of them coming into the right-hander at the end of the back straight, but i locked up and slid sideways thru the apex off track, which messed them up. Unfortunately, when i moved right and lifted, i didn't see you starting to tuck back in behind me. After the spin i thought i was against the inside barrier and wound up facing in the wrong direction when i continued, collecting a DQ, and capping off a perfect day, having taken damage in both races within 100 feet of the start despite my strategy of sitting out the second Qualifying session.
races wen not as I imagined for me. Q1 - I made a mistake which sent me to the end of the pole, R1 - I was not consistent enough to be able to move forward. I took advantage of some crashed drivers and went to P10 at the end. Q2 - by some strange coincidence I ended up at P2 R2 - I lost few positions at the start and tried to keep at P4 first lap. then I made a mistake at the start of round 2 which throws me to the barrier at full speed. I ended up with damaged car and spent more than 3 minutes in the pit. then I did just drive to the finish, safely at the end Overall it was quite disappointing after several hours spent on practicing the track :| ..one note to results of R2 - in the table I'm at P10, which is actually good for me, but it is wrong result. I lost 2 laps after the crash on way to the pit and then 180s in the pit. race info said I was P14, as 2 drivers did not finish the race. also these 2 with only few laps driven are in front of guys which finished the race. ..note 2 - I already tried few laps and our future track - Silverstone. I'm usually driving with AIs for practicing, but they are really stupid on this track. like the perfect line was wrongly set for them. they are driving over sausage kerbs and are thrown with high jumps away . it makes driving with them almost impossible and with no benefit. Is there a way how to change their behavior?
Phillip Pichler is right: series hosted by the ACD-Drivers (not me!) are full of action. Of course open wheelers are more dangerous to drive then touring cars, on the other hand we try to make a choice, which meets the taste of most of you. Dont forget: we had 16 drivers in all 4 races, also the USF 2000 series had full grid. So my calculation would be: more drivers = more action but also more incidents. Love it or leave it! Thats racing, to read so many of your reports here shows, that this series lives and is driven with heart and passion. And dont forget: nearly all drivers here have good skills and great pace. So only good pace in practice does not mean you will be on the podium at last. At least: sometimes you are lucky, sometimes not: My mate Klaus was driving very fast at Rouen, (monster of a track)-but he had bad luck in both races. Also Patrik Trefny was very impressive, we did some practice with him on monday, he was driving clean, fast, fair, prudently. But at the end it was not his day. Personally i can tell you, same for me, had no luck and no brain but a few mistakes. Hope to see you all again at Silverstone, thanks for joining.
Hi @Patrik Trefny I found this step by step guide on Studio397 forum https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/ai-learning-step-by-step-guide.47657/
perfect! actually I didn't even hope it would be possible like this will try if and how it works. thank you!
