Have no idea. I hate giving in as well so I have uninstalled the game and unsubscribed from all workshop items which took an age as there ism't an unsubscribe all option. I have ensured that the game is fully deleted from my hard drive. I will re-install the game and then re-install the mods. Good thing to do as a load of the workshop items I never even used and a load are rubbish imo. I'll see if this solves the issue

 

Well, not to be ugly.
but i have an older PC.
i cannot drop settings any lower.
so this free race is an indicator race, if i have issues, i will be pulling out the series.
not sure why rf2 is so resource hungry

 

After 4.5 days of struggle I have got everything working again. Ran a number of laps about half an hour and had no issues with the track.

This test race is open entry to any member? Or it is, at least in principle, for the ones that actually signed up to the season?

track is really heavy for me but im used to it so np.
just dont know where you guys get the straight speed or do i got some microlag? sometime i had issue with rf2 wth microlags and lost lots on straights.

 

The brakes are doing noise? Is like the brakes are fully on for some reason. Maybe a pedal problem or software problem.
But you can hear cleary the brakes on.

 

Tuning options, Toni. There are a few aeropacks to chose. Low drag being the one that gives more top speed, but less stability.
Lots of people are failing to see this detail.

 

im having that one sometimes when start racing...issue with that plug that connects pedals to wheel.

 

Yep, sounds like something with the breaks.
I have not heard about such an issue with the cars.
Everything worked good for me, no lag or anything else.

@Toni Talvitie did you choose the low drag version of the car?

 

Damn i've missed doing that. That was bloody fun!
Had to look it up, my first time in anything other than Dirt Rally since the last r2p rf1 WEC race on Nov 13 2016. Not too bad for missing almost 2 years, like getting on the bike again.
I think i took off too much wing to match the Vette's top speed, was getting super squirrely with low fuel and couldn't keep up with Paul at the end. Felt like I was driving the Quattro S1 in Dirt Rally going through Pouhon and Stavelot near the end.

Edit to add: no issues with track or mod for me either. Everything was smooth 60fps. I had to turn off road reflection and rain drops both to OFF. once i did that, stutters went away and it's been very smooth.
